Ph. D. CN Chen Yu-Shiaw
Dr. Yu-Shiaw Chen has a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. For twenty years, she worked as a research scientist at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Stony Brook University, and Biotechnology Companies. During those years, Dr. Chen had nineteen of her papers and abstracts published in scientific journals. While she was working as a pharmaceutical consultant, she realized the importance of nutrition and its impact on people's health. She continued her education at American Health Science University to earn her certificate as a Certified Nutritionist. After thorough research, she began her career as a nutrition counselor and educator. Currently, Dr. Yu-Shiaw Chen is an adjunct faculty member at Suffolk County Community College, offering a few courses, including "A Scientist's Approach to Diet and Health", "Overcoming Sugar and Carb Cravings" and "Improving Digestive Health". She has been focused on diet and lifestyle changes and their positive effects on the prevention of diseases. As a Certified Nutritionist, she has more than ten years of experience helping people lose weight and improve health through her unique weekly nutrition program, "Healthy Weight for Life." Dr. Chen enjoys speaking to the public and has been an invited guest speaker at various organizations. She has given lectures at corporations for "Lunch and Learn" programs, wellness programs, and employee training. She is a frequent speaker at support groups for breast cancer, prostate cancer, hepatitis, and Parkinson's disease at numerous hospitals all across Long Island. In addition, Dr. Yu-Shiaw Chen does private nutritional counseling in person and by phone. She has educated countless people to embrace a healthy lifestyle and to begin enjoying their improved health.

"I so appreciated Dr. Yu-Shiaw Chen’s expertise and instruction given in her book Healthy Eating Wholesome Living. It was such an easy read but filled with so much information and supported by so many testimonies. As a former teacher, I loved the way that each chapter was broken down into smaller more specific sections and color coded around the borders of each page. This makes it so easy to distinguish between topics and to go back and quickly brush up on previous material already read. Each chapter of this book deals with how to improve ones diet and lifestyle and ways to get well from sickness and disease attributed to the Standard American Diet. Each testimony dealt with a patient overcoming disease who had either taken Dr. Chen’s Healthy Weight for Life program and/or availed themselves to the AIM Companies whole food products empowering them to get well. I personally was encouraged by the miraculous results of people getting well from different types of cancers.
I have just recently begun taking Dr. Chen’s Healthy Weight for Life Nutrition program and find the information fascinating. Week one covered the importance of oxygen, sunlight, and water. And while I was quite aware of our need for all three of these important pieces of the health puzzle, the doctor went into each one with great detail. We were given homework, to log our water intake and daily exercise over a four-week span. Just from the material shared from the book and class and this accountability sheet, I have increased my daily intake of oxygen through exercise, sunlight, and I’m drinking eight glasses of water, an increase from about three glasses previously.
I also used to be a member of AIM Companies and just reinstated my membership. I started taking the BarleyLife product exactly one week ago from today and can honestly say that I felt a difference in my energy level on the first day! This is truly a miracle of God. The Lord answered my prayers through a reconnection of a mutual friend, Miriam McDade, leading me to Dr. Chen and eventually to the AIM super food products.
