We have all been in that moment when one begins to believe that we aren't like the rest, or we don't have certain skills to get what we want. We may feel that we don't have a purpose in life. We see how things like social interaction and influence are easier for other people, but not for us. We see how others get results in their life while for some reason we feel that we are stuck. Many times we think we know what it is about, we believe there is something wrong
with ourselves. Other people believe that none of this is our fault, for many different reasons. Those people might believe it’s because that's how we are, or that's how we were born, or that's how we were taught to be, or perhaps that's how we have become over time through our experiences. While this may hold some truth, and also it is true that we cannot change what has already happened, there is an even greater truth. A truth that can only be revealed when one takes responsibility for their way of being and stops blaming external causes for their circumstances. That truth is that we are in total and utter control of our lives and our destiny, without any exception. We have to understand that as long as we are in control of our mental faculties, we own our future and we can create a dream with it, but we have to be aware that we can also create a nightmare.
Everything that is created in this life is the consequence of what we call decisions. Your current life and circumstances are no exception. At this point, people typically get a little uncomfortable, listing all the reasons why their circumstances are not their fault and how the world is out of their control. This book will teach you the opposite. While this can be awkward at first, it gives us immense power when we come out on the other side, the power to create. You see, if we don't recognize that we have created everything we have up to now, how are we going to understand that we can create everything that is coming?
