About this ebook

Our subconscious and unconscious too, are not an alien, voodoo kind of area, a taboo never to be spoken about. It is just not in our textbooks in school, college or university.

Not a reason not to explore it of course. Dare to have a look inside you.

It is the normal hiding of something that has worked in the past so we do it again, and again.

Our brain has the capability of storing a habit outside our focal point: as it ran successfully in the past, our mind places it out of our conscious field of awareness as it needs no reviewing by our conscious mind, our thought process, due to the feeling of success in whatever the change needed: covering up, ignoring things, unveiling things, etc.

This gets a bit trickier when this successful habit sticks with us in time and does not get adjusted to the new challenges this new time is providing us with: we use the old tricks to tackle the new challenges.

This may or may not work of course, but having this habit out of our conscious focal plane, we might have this little niggling feeling that something is not going exactly according to plan.

We are sort of aware where it comes from but being out of sight, or conscious sight, we don’t really adjust it.
It gets even trickier when this habit was formed ages ago, as a child, in a scary time when getting out of there was the main drive. This habit has sunk way below the surface where you have no clue why you are doing what you are doing but you are doing it because your body gets upset again.

Time to reveal this saboteur in our life, get a torch and let’s explore these vaults.

Nothing scary as the reason all these habits were formed, is long gone.

Our repetition is keeping it firmly in place. Time to look at that too.

Enjoy this booklet, enjoy exploring yourself inside, how this works.

You’re amazing, without all these old habits, let’s reveal that.

Born in The Netherlands, moved to The Highlands in Scotland on the evening of 11-11-2008, didn't look back. From Edinburgh to Inverness, living in the middle of no where, deer and nature all around.Started to look within to find what was under the false personality which, as a child, I felt, was there to cope with the world of grown ups around me from a very young age. When the 1st 3 years of my life were full on encouragement to laugh, walk, talk, pursue to experience when it all changed into correction, telling me what not to do without telling what I could do from 5 years onwards.I started to see that we all are caught in this merry-go-round, this appearance we hold up and started to write books where, in the past I had my diaries to get me through.Aikido came into my life after a few lessons Jiu-Jitsu to gain confidence where I firmly decided not to want any killing reflexes in this body I left Jiu-Jitsu for Aikido and Iaido which changed my life entirely in a very good way.Books were coming to me at the right time: NLP got me into the right mind set and bumped into it in a second hand book store during a holiday in Ireland for just under a Euro.I chose to invest 30 min each day from then on to change me into who I am: confident, unattached, competent and self assured with life, nature and animals. Pure self and learned from there to listen to my heart with my mind as a worthy advisor to what's going on out there. Thoughts are just options.Started to publish my books in 2013 after both my parents passed away on a very respectable age.Sharing my thoughts and later, my experiences without thought infecting my being, understanding thought and how it is hijacked out there from a very young age and to keep you away from your core inside: the real you you are.Enjoy my experiences in this life, written down for whoever has support by them or fall into your lap as books fell to me without a search, life just happens.Discovered that the real reality is the life support system out there: no books, no gods, no symbols, no religions, no past, no future, just nature as it is is enough, always perfectly on time although our egoic state of mind will disapprove...What Is is now and moving fast into a new now, no time to think as thinking is way to slow to get the real and exact signals, impulses into our senses.Loving what I do, doing what I love: working in construction in the heart of the Highlands, meeting great people on sites and elsewhere.Enjoy life.

    Making the subconscious conscious.

And of course, the unconscious too.

"There’s no way that you can reach your full potential until you gain entry into much of what exists below your awareness—that is, make both the unconscious and subconscious conscious—and, at last, come to positive terms with what, unknowingly, has been sabotaging you." Leon F Seltzer, Psychology Today 2019.

His explanation of the difference between subconscious and unconscious is that with a subconscious habit, you know that you are jealous of somebody because you felt that you didn’t have the chance yourself: you realize the reason why yourself, it is still clear where it originates from.

Unconscious habits are things you do or dislike but you don’t know why. Someone else has to tell you, for instance your mom or dad, a psychologist or hypnotist, a friend or a stranger, has to explain why you don’t like sprouts because you had to eat them when you were young and didn’t like them at that moment. You need external assistance to reveal and explain unconscious behaviour in yourself. It lies outside your reach to find it in yourself, the structure of who you think you are.

It all starts with understanding how a habit functions in ourselves: do something where the result is positive or negative, the action, the reflex of your body and your attention, again, positive or negative, is logged in our brain as something that you are interested in, consciously of, aware of and focussed on. You’ve directed your energy to that point, your attentive energy, consciously.

The same goes with enduring something that has an impact on you, your personality has been challenged by something that happens to an extend that you have to do something with that experience, you feel, positive (inflate) or negative (suppress, repress or ignore and deny). That’s where you start to like or dislike someone.

First, going into personality, the one I think I am. Thought is lifted, upgraded or promoted to be the new reference in our self, our leader, our director, our guiding principle.

    Thinking happens: our brain has
