Summary of The Mountain Is You: Transforming Self-Sabotage Into Self-Mastery by Brianna Wiest
The Mountain Is You is a simple yet eye-opening book about how we self-sabotage because we want the familiar, even if the comfortable is far from great. We all self-sabotage at times, but we can overcome these harmful coping mechanisms to create the best version of ourselves. We have to be able to stop focusing on happiness and work toward inner peace to reach our highest levels. The work is difficult but straightforward. Read each chapter, then put in the work necessary to start becoming your best self. We create our biggest challenges because we are not in control of our reactions, but we can learn to control what is possible and function with the rest. We are the mountain, but we are also the pathway through.
