Book Overview
People are so used to having a bad sleep that most of us just live with it or follow all-or-nothing options. However, sleep problems are treatable without having to sacrifice something that you love; that is what Diane Macedo wanted to emphasize in writing The Sleep Fix. What’s great about how this book was written is that the solutions, as a whole, do not only target a certain group of people because a variety of tools and techniques are curated with the intent to help everyone to have a better sleep.
This book can be easily understandable by the audience, with its insights from experts of sleep specialists, doctors, researchers. There is also an undeniable personal touch as statements come not only from the author but also from well-known personalities. The book is arranged in order of believed effectiveness that would help you decide where and how to begin. As long as it does not contradict any advice from experts, one should pick whatever is the most effective to them and go from there. Effectiveness varies from person to person; what works for them might not be as effective for you, and that’s okay.
Sleep disorders when untreated, or treated wrongly, lead to more sleep disorders. In reverse, finding the perfect place to start also leads to a more positive direction – sleep improvement leads to more sleep improvement. However, in starting the journey of bettering sleep, it is important to note that progress is not linear. There will be days much harder than usual, but situations like that will only strengthen your resilience in reaching the needed sleep.
