AUTHOR’S NOTE

(Sadie Silver Mystery #6)
Each book is a standalone book in the series, but there are some story arcs that will relate to each other and continue throughout the series.
This series is also a cozy mystery which fits into the cozy mystery mode so expect clean romance and a light-hearted mystery recommended for age 13 and up.
If you were looking for more grown up mysteries and thrillers, I do write those as well, but the Sadie Silver Mysteries are specifically Cozy Mysteries so enjoy it as such :D

Chapter 1
Sadie
After having her stay at the Apple Valley Cozy Inn interrupted and cut short due to a crime there where she became the prime suspect, Sadie relaxed into her soft velvety red sofa in her own house and turned to her dog Biscuit and her black cat Orchid, This time, I’m staying inn. A nice vacation right here at home. How does that sound, guys?
Biscuit’s lifted his head from his beloved paw-print doggy bowl and agreed it was a wonderful idea. Woof! Woof!
Orchid perched on her favorite window sill overlooking Sadie’s vegetable gardens and greenhouse, licked her whiskers with her tongue before purring Meow!
That settles it!
Sadie exclaimed. We’re making this a staycation, having our own spa and resort inn experience right at home. I can even try out some new recipes I have for my bakeries.
She clapped her hands. I’m excited, guys!
Sadie?
a booming voice said from behind her from the porch.
Sadie had kept her door opened with just the screen door closed to let in the fresh sweet air from her flowers outside. She had jasmine, lavender, and roses growing around the front of her house, while in back she had her vegetable gardens and her herb garden, which her mother had planted when she was a little girl.
The house reminded her of her mother all the time, even though her mother had left her the family home before moving to New York City to set up her own fashion line.
Sadie walked over to the front door, opening the screen when she recognized who was calling in.
She smiled, opening the screen door wide open. John?
she blinked. Is that you, John Fellows?
She looked at the tall, copper-haired young man, wearing a black polo shirt, a black cap, and slacks. Embroidered on the cap and shirt was a logo, Fellows Fast Delivery.
The handsome young man with copper hair and blue eyes smiled widely at Sadie. I wasn’t sure this was your address at first, Sadie, but it is. Yup, it’s me, John Fellows from school.
Oh my!
Sadie exclaimed, pulling him into her house and wrapping her arms around him in a big hug. When did you move back to Fortune Falls?
"When did you move back to Fortune Falls? John asked.
I thought you moved away to Paris to Culinary School right after graduating from high school. I’d think you would be living in some fancy cosmopolitan city instead of a small town like Fortune Falls."
Sadie laughed. I did for a while after culinary school. I worked in Paris, London, Las Vegas, New York, and even Atlanta for a while before moving back.
Married?
John asked. What brought you back?
"I missed home. Plus my mother moved to New York City, and left our family home empty. I wanted to start
