Hello everyone! I’m Stephanie Seferian, and this is The Essential Habits of Conscious Consumers: A Guide to Wise and Sustainable Consumption

What does it mean to be a conscious consumer?
The idea of conscious consumerism can sometimes get a bad rap or, at the very least, be reduced to buzz words that don’t quite sum it up. It’s often associated with being frugal
or even cheap.
But that doesn't even begin to get it right.
Conscious consumerism is not about simply going after all the best deals or sales; it’s not just checking for online reviews to read before buying a product; nor is it simply never buying anything at all.
So, then, what exactly does it mean to be a conscious consumer? You’ve heard the term but – still! – its definition remains ambiguous.
Conscious consumers know what they want and what they need. They make deliberate and informed choices about what to buy, and they make it hard for themselves to make mindless purchases. Conscious consumers know that buying is always a last resort.
They understand their purchasing power; as such, conscious consumers aspire to improve the world
