The Stacey Habluetzel Show - Stacey Habluetzel

    The Beginning of It All

Hello, good morning. Almost evening on November 19th. This is Stacey speaking and I just wanted to do this to let you guys know something that is coming about. I am going to embark on an podcast. Some could be video and some could be audio and a blend of the two and I want to know what you want me to talk about. I have a lot of things in my mind that I would like to discuss and talk about my opinions on certain issues and, or just a general consensus of a conversation about a specific topic that you would like to hear. It can be about anything going on in the world or just a lot of things. I have a wide variety of knowledge about things and interest in, like marriage or finances or spiritual or healthcare.

Those are some of the main ones that I have dived into so far that I know a little bit about. I’d like to share on recovery from drugs and alcohol, a little bit I can touch on those things. I have a wide variety of things I could discuss and want to know what you guys are wanting me to speak on. I just want to connect with you if one of those topics peaks your interest or you'd like to hear more about a mindset of certain things about those topics, or if you have a specific question, you can let me know. Message me, feel free to send a question and I will get back with you. The next episode I have could be the answer to the question that you have or some type of conversation about that to give a good perspective about it.

So it's a conversation platform discussing different issues and things like that. Looking forward to that and I might do a couple of teasers about these topics mentioned at this point or if you have a topic that I have not mentioned just shoot me a question about it. It helps me also dig in to some of the things with that and we can just have a conversation about that specific thing and a perspective on it. So thank you all for listening to this short little blurb of my podcast. I will put it on a platform that you can follow. You can like, subscribe, follow along. It’s not going to be every day, maybe every week or once a month we’ll see how it goes. You will be notified when a new episode comes out. Depending on the feedback you have. With me being a nurse and all the things I’ve seen, I can talk about almost anything. Some things are harder to talk about, but I’m willing to go in the trenches if you will and discuss those things. Appreciate you coming today joining me. TGIF, happy Friday to you all. It’s windy out there so bundle up outside. Alright see you next time, bye.

Start, Execute, Know When to Stop

Hello, welcome to the next episode with Stacey. I am going to be your host and today's episode is going to be over just getting started, execution and knowing when to stop. Thank you for joining us today. I wanted to talk about this topic. What brings me to having the conversation or the monologue about this topic is just getting started. Just putting yourself out there and starting something. I bring this up because, I'd say about five or six years ago, I got into selling Avon and you know, there's a lot of direct marketing companies out there. Avon, Mary Kay, Scentsy I can go on and on. I've had an entrepreneurial spirit inside of me since I was younger, before I could even start working an 8-5 job, if you will.

So I knew I wanted to do something to help people, but I didn't want to get stuck in just a little box of doing a little something and that is it. You know, there's so many side hustles out these days and a lot of opportunities to make third, fourth streams of income coming in, but of course, you got bills to pay. Everybody does, so you want something sustainable and something that's going to be, you know continuous and stable for your house. So over the years I have dabbled in, you know, making things, making key chains, when I was a kid to with the little beads and you just put the beads on there and decorate key chains and sold Avon a few years ago and a lot in between.

I even dabbled in painting. I would buy wooden pieces and paint those and sell for art. It was called mystical art for a while and that didn't really kick off and Avon, I'm not really a salesperson. I just like doing it to help people, to be with people to give them the beauty of having the makeup products and everything, but it wasn't my thing. So the episode today I wanted to discuss, just start with something. I've tried several little things outside of healthcare, I've been in the healthcare industry for 10 years. I am a nurse and I really enjoy that completely and I've enjoyed doing these other side hustle things too and a lot of people do.

I would say keep trying things and execute on it because if you don't try and put yourself out there and execute on what you want to do, it's the fear of not doing it that is going to keep you from doing it. If you don’t do it, you’ll never know what will come of it. So, I mean, people can get stuck in that for years and years and years and have something that they wish they would've done in their life. Then years later, they look back and say, I regret this because I never did it. I never pursued it. Also the third part into just getting started and execution is knowing when to quit, like with the Avon, the painting, you know, I'm not an artist to paint. I could take classes to learn and refine myself in those ways. But, I think God put us all here for a special reason.

We are supposed to leave the footprint on it that he would want us to do. It’s just a good idea to do things that you enjoy. Then it's not feeling like work because you just enjoy it so much. I think a lot of people have side hustles for partially that reason and for extra income and also go into it for the right reasons. You don't want to just go in there to make money because people can tell. I think they can anyway, by the lack of your authenticity. So you want to do it for the right reasons to help people and be a change in the community in which you live. The money comes as a byproduct of that.

It's just a given eventually that comes with hard work, dedication, commitment, you know, things like that, discipline and consistency. I just would like to say, just go for it. I mean, there's a lot of people that have done things and failed many times, but then one day something is going take off and they just keep trying, trying, trying, they don't let the things that did not work prevent them from trying something else. There comes a point where in your own body, mind, soul and spirit that you know the Avon that I was pursuing, there was something inside of me that was like this is not the right path to go down. So, I had to deal with that within myself and quit resisting and quit fighting within me that said, you're on the right track, but this is not it.

I had to lay it down, put it to sleep and things like that. Knowing that and being intuitive with yourself is a good thing also to not keep going down a rabbit hole, that in essence is not working for you the way that you envision. Consistency is key. You can't just see results overnight, people that expect results overnight and all that just is not going to happen. It takes time. Okay. People these days are just a microwave society. They want results like lickity split super-fast. They don't want to wait. And when they keep going and going and going, they're like, oh, I haven't had any results. And it's been a couple of months or whatever and that's not necessarily a good gauging marker as to where your success is at with that.

It takes sustainability, it takes keep putting yourself out there so that people can see and know you're there. I hope this comes to you with good vibes and good love. I have experience with these things and first of all, we can't let fear stop us from pursuing what it is that we want to pursue or we're going to wake up 50, 60, 80 years later and wish we would've started something. And we didn't. So I think that it is better to try 10 things and fail at them all. That one time, the 11th thing could be the one that would be successful. It's better to do that than never take a chance at all. Wouldn't you say?

I am totally onboard with that and just living your life to the full extent of your life and capabilities and having fun with it and doing things you enjoy and being with your family and all these things and not
