    Preface

    My passion and purpose are helping people who have given up on themselves and their weight loss journey. The people who have tried every diet there is, only to lose weight and gain it back and more. I am here to pick you up after all of those failures and walk side by side toward success.

    The main area of focus is Mindset, and you will shift old thinking patterns by reframing thoughts to gain your desired outcome. Let us get new tools into your Toolbox to overcome the obstacles we encounter in our daily lives.

    This past year, during the pandemic I created the Pathways to Health hiking and biking group, to get folks together in a healthy environment. During the pandemic, everyone has known someone one way or another with relatives, friends or family members getting sick. If we ourselves have been blessed not to get sick, we are all still suffering from what I call Pandemic Burnout. During this time so many people gained the pandemic nineteen pounds or more. The pandemic is not leaving anytime soon, so we need to take care of our health even more.

    During the pandemic, I also started having weekly zoom calls with the Pathways to Health group. This provided folks with a community to share where we are with our health and wellness. The group call provided specific topics weekly to discuss. I also had a chef, and I demonstrated healthy cooking ideas. A fellow entrepreneur spoke about shifting the mindset for success. This platform helped everyone feel part of something again.

    Once the nicer weather came, we were able to get out twice a week in the hiking group which I formed. My goal was to create that healthy community for us all to come together. The folks who have joined the program, for which I am an independent health coach, have lost those pandemic twenty pounds and are continuing their health journey. Along the way, great friendships have developed.

    It has been great to see folks challenging themselves to take longer walks/hikes, and the final incentive challenge for the year was to hike the twenty-two miles around Lake Geneva. Mission accomplished!

    As an independent health & wellness coach, my mission is to spread healthy habits and lifestyles as widely as possible. If you are reading this book, please help me accomplish that by referring clients or joining my group.

    Let me help those who have given up gain confidence in taking their health into their own hands. I wish to help those who need to develop more strategies to overcome the obstacles in their way and be confident with the mindset and tools to hit those challenges head on.

    My mission is to help transform your thinking from a diet mentality to a healthy lifestyle mentality. DIETS = DIE, HEALTHY = HEAL!

    Let us heal the world, by working together to reduce or eliminate prescription drugs after your next doctor’s visit. How about doing activities you have not been able to do in years? Become a part of a community of like-minded individuals to support you.

    Following Your Dreams

    What are your dreams and passions?

    Someone asked me this question one day, and I did not have an exciting response. That made me sad. What happened to all those dreams I once had? Have I given up?

    In my younger years I remembered the excitement I had to get out into the world and discover and experience everything that I could. I was ambitious, looking to try new things, whether it was something simple like new crafts, sports activities, going to concerts, ballgames, going to the city, or going to the northwoods camping. Traveling all over the world was a big dream of mine. Deep sea fishing in the Great Barrier Reef, and traveling to Tahiti, Fiji, Hawaii, Europe were only a few dream places. Also, I had high career aspirations, one of which was to own a cargo airline like the President of the company I was working for. I dreamt of having the princess life of a million dollar house and a nice car, which at the time was a
