About this ebook
The 5 Second Rule, by Mel Robbins, explains how to overcome self-doubt and live a more fulfilling life by using a simple tool known as the five-second rule. This tool helps people learn to take action in any situation and change their lives for the better....
According to Robbins, individuals only have five seconds to act on an impulse before they hesitate. In order to overrule one's hesitation, he/she must commit to acting by the time he/she counts down 5-4-3-2-1. Robbins refers to these moments as "push moments". These are the times when you have a thought about something such as approaching someone new or speaking up in a meeting. If individuals act rather than think, they will grow more courage and gain confidence.

The 5-second rule
PART I
Five Seconds to Change Your Life
It almost takes five seconds to change your life as you have the tool of five-second decision that can help you change for the better. The 5-second rule is easily learnable, and a secret to change anything. The practice can help you at your work, life, love, and will make you confident and courageous. The author created the 5-second rule when she was at the worst stage of her life. Things weren’t right for her, including her marriage, finances, career, and self-esteem. She invented the rule to help break the habit of continually evading her responsibilities and stood with courage. When she used her practice for the first time, it felt foolish, but it helped her to transform her life completely. She used the tool to gain confidence and improved everything in her life, including her finances, her career, productivity, cash flow, and even marriage. She went from bounced checks to seven figures in the bank, recruited to join the teams at success magazine and CNN. By using the rule, the author stopped overthinking and doubting herself over small decisions. It gave her the power to believe in herself, her ideas, and her abilities. The book contains proofs from social media posts and accounts stating how the rule helped them to change their lives for good magically. You might use the rule for making small decisions first and then move on to make more significant decisions by applying it on a higher level like being influential at work (meeting with a boss to discuss career goals, etc.). The rule has a unique thing attached to it about productivity. Before applying the rule, Mel experienced endless to-do lists and made excuses about prioritizing things, but through this rule, she magically changed her life and went from a procrastinator to a productive member of society. The rule can help the person to get out of the comfort zone and be more social. The rule can also be used to self-monitor and control one’s emotions. Executives from all over the world who have read this book or heard Mel talk have used the rules to help change the managerial style, derive more sales, team engagements, and brought new innovations. A practice is a powerful tool when it comes to the battles of addiction and depression. It has helped people in quitting the habits of drinking and smoking. The rule might even help in saving your life. The best question at the moment might be that how can a simple rule work in so
