Introduction to online storytelling and fields of application
Storytelling is the art and magic of creating stories and in this course we will learn how to deploy our personal or corporate story on social media and the web in general.
You may be wondering:
What exactly is storytelling on social media?
What can it be used for?
What are your objectives?
These are all legitimate questions.
In fact, it is very important to take care of this aspect when establishing your online presence, precisely because storytelling has the characteristic of being authentic and involving our audience.
The mistake that the average user usually makes is to publish content online without a solid project behind it, without following the rules of web storytelling (yes, there are rules, and quite tough ones too!).
The results will not always be disastrous, of course, but I believe that having this expertise on your side can allow you to understand in advance and with a minimum margin of error how you will be perceived by your followers, be consistent in your publications and above all obtain better results than in the past in terms of involvement and loyalty.
That’s no small thing, is it?
If you think about it, it is also a useful skill from a personal point of view (those who know how to tell their story well have undoubted advantages), so why not apply it to the wonderful world of social networks?
We are well aware that social media is a huge marketplace in which it is increasingly difficult to stand out and make our person or product known.
In this text, which is a practical course because at the end of these theoretical lessons we will also do an exercise, we will try to understand what your audience is and what kind of story you can tell.
Every person and every company or service provider that wants to get on social media has characteristics that make it somewhat unique. Indeed. Exciting, isn’t
