I am extremely excited that my very good friend Christy Amalu has chosen to explore the bonds of these life-supporting connections we know as friendships. Throughout this book, she gives us a clear gaze into the pros, cons, struggles, and rewards that these associations possess and how they have the power to enrich and deplete our lives.

As a robust leader and community activist she has forged many relationships, and in this book positions herself as a liaison, who allows us an exceptional look into her complex and rewarding experiences. This book is a pivotal guide to help scrutinize current friendships and judge new ones more carefully.

You are about to undergo transformation. Christy Amalu befriends each reader as she shares this life-changing knowledge. When Friends Fail, renders an authentic assessment into viable partnerships, that inevitably help fashion our lives. Job well done!

Pastor Christy Amalu is at it again, this time with another amazing book she titled When Friends Fail.

Proverbs 20:6 says……. The Lord’s command in John 13:34-35 is that we should love our neighbour as He has loved us because by that will all men know that we are His disciples. Jesus did not say we should love others the way they love us.

In fact, in Matthew 5:43-48 He says categorically that if we love those who love us and be nice to those who are nice to us, what then differentiates us from unbelievers.

This shows that our love for others should be unconditional just the way Christ loves us unconditionally. It has nothing to do with how they love us or appreciate our love for them.

Pastor Christy helps us to understand that we should always make provision for people to fail us, so that when they do it will not be a shocker.

This means we would have made provisions to cushion the effect of such disappointment or betrayal long before it occurs, and we will not find it hard to forgive them.

When Friends Fail prepares the reader to Jesus’s admonition in Matthew 18:21-22 that we should be prepared to forgive 70 times 7 times in one day.

As far as depends on us we should live peaceably with all men irrespective of their shortcomings.

Italians say Chi non mi vuole non mi merits. ". It means that who does not want me does not even deserve me.

When friends fail and walk out on us, they do not deserve us. As a matter of fact, they are the looser.

This is a book I will surely recommend for everyone’s library, and your life will not remain the same after you have read it.

Christy- work colleague, fellow worker as well woman & friend

To say I feel really honoured to be asked by my dear friend Christy to write a Foreword to her 4th book When friends fail is an underestimation. I have known the author for nearly two decades and have had the pleasure of working with her as a nursing colleague and a clinical advisor role in different NHS 111 settings. I have also been honoured to work alongside her as a Well woman as speakers and co-labourers in organising charity events in various communities over the years. In recent years the author has become my Mentor and Motivator in encouraging me to birth my own maiden book God Moments Testimonies and still nurturing me in tackling my second one Living the dream .In this journey together I have known her as self less

My opinion of when friends fail..

From finishing a shift and logging on to my computer thinking Oh I will only be a few minutes and then I`ll be done . Well surprise! This book captivated me and I kept reading and pushing myself until finish line. When I reached the conclusion, I kept pressing on the scroll button thinking there was more . Reading this book will stretch you , make you pause and think, reflect on your own personal experiences and make you want to make some definite changes where possible.

    The writer`s style

The author is very expressive and current in that she uses expressions such as consumer friends who treat you like a digital device which is initially appealing, but with time trade you in for a newer version. Isn`t this real and true in today`s world!

I like the simplicity of the lay out : for lazy readers , it works really well and for ardent readers it would even satisfy their thirst for more .It generally promotes readership, as the topic
