About this ebook

The Way of Authority and Power tells how God guided a young boy through the pain of his grandmothers death from cancer and taught him, as he grew up, to see His divine power and authority working in peoples lives today. Author Rick Rannie shares his experience of coming to perceive Gods healing at work in the lives of people suffering from a variety of maladies just as in His healing worked in the lives of people in the Bible. The Way of Authority and Power begins by uncovering the riches in the Scriptures that reassure believers that Gods authority and power are their inheritance as His children. Rannie goes on to offer helpful and practical insights for how to live and move under the authority and power of the Lord. Written with both teenagers and adults in mind, The Way of Authority and Power presents a simple and clear message that uplifts and encourages all who serve in healing and miracle ministries. It suggests that God is leading the church to the beginning of a great healing movement. The time is coming when Christians everywhere will speak of the healing that Jesus does through the hearts and hands of His people.

    Preface

The Lord said to me that we are on the precipice of a great healing movement. The mantra of the coming days will be The Healing Jesus. If this is true then we as the church must be prepared to move in our inheritance of authority and power. How many have been frustrated by the fact that we have prayed and not seen results in praying for the sick? How many times have you cried out to God and said as the disciples, Why could not we cast him out?(Matthew 17:19).

This is a how to book on moving in the authority and power of God. God wants us to move in the fullness of His authority and power. Jesus was right when He said, The works I do you shall do also. (John 14:12).

    PART I –

    The foundation of our

    authority and power

    Chapter 1

    INTRODUCTION

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. I John 4:17

The promise of the Word is that as Jesus is so are we in this world. If the Scripture says this it is true. We must then learn about Jesus so we can become like Him. The scripture says the following about Jesus in Ephesians 1: 20-22:

    20.

Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places.

    21.

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion and every name that is named not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

    22.

And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church.

In Matthew 28:18, Jesus says, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Daniel 7: 13-14 says about Jesus:

    13.

I saw in the night visions, and, behold one like the Son of Man came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before Him.

    14.

And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

By looking at these Scriptures we see that Jesus has all power and authority. When He died the power of resurrection came and raised Him from the dead. Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God in heavenly places far above all principality and power. Years before Jesus was born Daniel saw Jesus having dominion or authority, and a kingdom. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He has a name above all names, and every tongue will confess He is Lord to the glory of the Father (Philippians 2: 10-11).

Right now Jesus has all power and authority. The enemy has no power over Him. The question the church must ask is; do we walk in this same power and authority? Does not the Scripture say as He is so are we in this world? Did not Jesus say the works I do we will do also and greater (John 14:12)? Is the church supposed to walk in the same glory, dominion and kingdom as Jesus?

    Daniel 7:27 says:

And the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High.

According to Daniel we are to walk in the authority and kingdom of our Lord Jesus. Paul says the following about our inheritance in Romans 8:17:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God,
