    Foreword

This book is the result of a tremendous amount of study about the spoken Word. I have gone through the book and have found great potential deposited in the life of the author. I am convinced that the author has been very conversant with the use of the spoken Word and its application. The miracles that result at every time he is ministering and releasing the spoken Word to the lives of people or to situations is awesome.

The power of the spoken Word is great. God has endowed the author to write this wonderful and explosive write-up about the power of the spoken Word.

I am very sure that if you obtain this book and go through the write-ups and the testimonies through the spoken Word - your life will not remain the same again.

    Chapter 1

    Introduction

Do you know that the power available to a covenant child of God is absolutely awesome and unlimited?

Do you also know that the solutions to most problems that so boldly confronts us lies in the use of our tongue through the spoken Word?

Do you know that this power has been freely given to us to utilize so fruitfully?

Do you also know that all those who abide under the shadow of the almighty God, share in this inheritance?

Now, come along with me as we explore the power behind the spoken Word.

The biblical account of creation clearly signifies the importance of the spoken Word in accomplishing the intent and purpose of God. The Almighty God did not create anything without the Word.

John 1:1-3, attest to the fact that the Almighty God is the source of creation.

VS.1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

VS.2: The same was in the beginning with God.

VS.3: All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made."

Now, let us practically journey into creation. Genesis 1:1-3, also rightly attest to the fact that the Almighty God is the source of creation.

VS.1: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

VS.2: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

VS.3 : And God said, Let there be light and there was light."

Essentially, we must note that the Spirit of God moved upon the face of water before God said - Let there be light. It therefore implies that the spirit of God which is the Holy Spirit executed the intent and purpose of the spoken Word. We must also be mindful of the fact that the Holy Spirit quickens and is the breath of God. Therefore, anyone who must create through the power of the Holy Spirit must be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

It is a well known fact that without the Holy Spirit our words cannot accomplish divine purpose. In essence, they lack divine power and authority that is required for fruitfulness. A classic example in the scriptures is the fruitless effort of the seven sons of Sceva who attempted to cast out evil spirits as obtained in Acts 19:13-16.

VS.13: Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.

VS.14: And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

VS.15: And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

VS. 16: And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded."

Going forward, we must acknowledge the fact that some people perform miracles through the power of the devil and its demons. These powers are subject and indeed inferior to the power of the Holy Spirit. The superiority of the power of the Holy Spirit was aptly demonstrated by Jesus who clearly asserted His authority over principalities and powers by triumphing over them (Colossians 2:15).

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

The main essence of this book is to bring to the fore, the awesome power embedded in the spoken Word through the Holy Spirit. My dear, if you wish that your word achieve its purpose and be established, it must be backed by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the energizer.

The scriptures rightly pointed out that Jesus Christ is full of the Holy Spirit. His baptism at the river Jordan gives credence to this statement of fact as
