Introduction

I thank God for the journey He has had me on since I accepted my salvation and welcomed Him into every aspect of the life He gave me. In this time, He has taken my prayer life from zero to a level where I can pursue and experience Him and His promises without measure. My prayer life is continuously growing stronger and more effective as He shows me that, in Him, there are no limits to the strength of my prayer life.

I have written this guide with the hope that it will inspire you to become more purposeful and confident in your prayer life. As you read, pray and seek Him; I believe that God will lead you to lay the groundwork for greater demonstrations of His goodness! I will share the key things that have helped me along the way; the things I always consider when I’m preparing my heart for my conversations with Him. My scripture references are from the King James translation. Please feel free to reference the scriptures in the translation of your choosing. So, I am happy to share my journey and I thank you for pursuing your desire to learn of Him! (Matthew 11:29 - Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.)

Before we begin, I have a suggestion for how you should approach this book. There is undoubtedly good value in simply reading straight through. For some, it may be a good first pass, but I would recommend that after doing so, you go back through it and spend a day on each chapter. You really want to let things set in. You want to ensure that you are deepening your understanding by spending time seeking God’s wisdom and revelation on each point and the included scriptures.

I hope the inspired considerations I share are great tools for you to elevate your prayer life.
