About this ebook

We hardly document our prayers but have you ever wondered where prayers of saints go
And how they fulfill the purpose for which they are sent? There is ample evidence that
victories are won on earth by the prayers of God’s people. He calls them His People and
expects them to pray. When they do, angels collect the prayers into Golden Bowls and
present to God in heaven as sweet smelling incense. The Angels pour back the prayers on
earth as incense to win the victories and purpose for which they were sent.
In this book, the Author examines selected prayers of saints from Genesis to Revelation
and the resultant victories as incentive for continuous prayer by saints.
The evidence of answered prayer from these biblical encounters prompted her to publish in
addition, the several months of consistent monthly prayers she raised based on the Lord’s
Prayer as a sequel to her book “The Lord’s Prayer: The forgotten Prayer”. It also serves as
evidence that His people prayed and continue to pray His WILL.
As the prayers of Gods people were documented and have become a legacy for us, so is
this edition of the first three years of praying the Lord’s Prayer a legacy for His people.
As revealed in the Lord’s Prayer book, the content is complete and all-encompassing If
God answers the prayer of His people according to His WILL then without a doubt, He
will answer the entire content of the Lord’s prayer because it is His WILL.
She invites His people to this first edition of the documented prayer; a sequel to ‘The Lord’s
Prayer: The Forgotten Prayer’.

    Epilogue

    Prologue

Since creation, God has spoken audibly to His people. This face to face interaction was very common and the norm in the very beginning of God’s encounter with man. The diversity in communication through His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in these last days was confirmation of His plan from the beginning as stated in Hebrews 1:1-4

1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

All manner of prayer continues to be a major channel of this communication between God and His children. These prayers are said to become sweet smelling incense presented to God in Golden Bowls. They are then poured back on earth continually to accomplish His WILL.

    INCENSE IN GOLDEN BOWLS

There is biblical evidence that God’s people prayed and God heard and answered them; sometimes instantly but even when the answer tarried, they waited until His response came. These invaluable experiences have been documented in the Bible for our use as God’s children to enable us have direction as we follow Him and live in His Kingdom on earth.

It appears however that our approach to prayer has largely been responsive and reactive. How about a shift?? There is no question about the importance we place on prayer but the gap seems to be the proactive attitude and position we should adopt.

For instance, the Lord’s Prayer being the covenanted and proactive prayer, obedience to pray it assures us of its contents here on earth until He returns to take us home.

And this, we need to come to terms with urgently because there is no doubt that being proactive as this prayer enables us will unleash the entire contents of it TO OUR BENEFIT

    ---His Kingdom

---His WILL as it is in heaven

    ---Daily bread

    ---forgiveness

    ---no temptation

    ---deliverance from evil

It is both disheartening and disappointing how sometimes the body of Christ become seemingly desperate like everyone else looking everywhere for solutions when calamity strikes like the corona virus that hit the earth in 2020. The question is, where have we been all along? Did God keep us in the dark? Are we His children?

My conviction is that we have for years operated and lived more responsively and re-actively, lagging behind in pro-activeness through prayer.

Is it because we lack the knowledge to be proactive as Jesus intended? Jesus for instance, warned His disciples about His death and resurrection and their subsequent persecution and knew the time and seasons. We belong to a God who says before it happens I show it to you. Where lies the gap?

    Isaiah 46: 8-10

8 "Remember this, keep it in mind,

take it to heart, you rebels.

    9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;

    I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is none like me.

10 I make known the end from the beginning,

from ancient times, what is still to come.

I say, ‘My purpose will stand,

and I will do all that I please.’

Is this advantage not one of the differences between us who know Him and those who don’t ? We are His sons and daughters and friends of the creator of the universe. We are His people! His eyes are upon us and His ears are attentive to our cry. As Peter states eloquently in1 Peter 3:12

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers: But the face of the Lord is is against those who do evil.

I must admit that proactive prayer has not kicked in for me until the revelation I had in 2016 about the Lord’s prayer. And I realized that indeed, I had prayed amiss most of the time and prayed for little things that God had already promised such as food, housing and clothing.

And what are my expectations as I have prayed the Lord’s Prayer fully, consistently, persistently and fervently for the past 3 years with my family, friends and Bible Study group. That He will answer and give us : -

    ---His Kingdom

---His WILL as it is in heaven

    ---Daily bread

    ---forgiveness

    ---no temptation

    ---deliverance from evil

How do I know? because Jesus says so and I believe it. When we pray according to His WILL He hears us and because He hears us we have confidence that we receive our petitions.

    1 John 5:14-15

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

    Purpose of the book

This book is an added incentive for the chosen generation, God’s own people, the royal priesthood to pray. It is a sequel to ‘’The Lord’s Prayer: The forgotten prayer’’, An extended opportunity that recalls historical account of biblical men who communicated with God through prayer and underscores the unchallenged truth that our God is a relational God and distinct from all other gods.

That our God is the only true God who created the heavens and the earth and enjoys mutual relationship with all people irrespective of their backgrounds, status or nationality. He has been available to whoever came to Him before and after the new covenant in Jesus Christ.

Lastly, it is to once again encourage God’s people to pray the Lord’s Prayer as never before and expect all that pertains in there. Our God is not a man that He should lie! Call it simple faith. That is all He expects of us. Whoever comes to Him must first believe that He is. I believe this addition will inspire you to pray the more.

    Introduction and

    format of the book

In the Lord’s Prayer book, I shared my unprecedented experience of being taught by God face to face for 91 days. Subsequently for the past two and a half years, I have felt led to raise monthly prayers using the Lord’s Prayer. What has happened to all the 400x 30 Amens ?? and by extension, what actually happens when we pray? Where does our prayer go?

I thought a glimpse of that might motivate us to pray even more the Lord’s Prayer among others.

In this edition, I have searched the entire 66 books of the bible and selected some of the prayers men of God prayed as they related with God to motivate us. I also center on what happens to our prayers when we pray for assurance and motivation for consistent, persistent and fervent prayer.

What Jesus calls prayer is summed up in Matthew 6:5-8. It is after this explanation that He taught His disciples to pray as recorded in Matthew 6:9-13.

Take note of the difference between prayer and instant short statements and requests that Jesus made to God on occasions when He had to

    • Command demons to flee

    • Raise the dead

    • Heal the sick

    • Feed the multitudes with little

    • Get the devil off His back

    • Pray in the Garden of Gethsemane

    • Pray on the cross

Similarly, men of God in both old and new testaments prayed as well as invoked God’s power in similar statements to deliver people from demonic oppression, raise the dead, heal the sick and make specific requests of God and He answered them. To this day, we still do and will continue until He returns when together we shall worship and say:

For thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory Forever and Ever Amen.

In this book, you will find lots of scripture quoted from the Bible which makes it easier for the reader because all scripture meant to be read are quoted and placed in the book. First, you will find my favorite and inspirational prayer-and-answer--assuring scriptures. Followed by prayers of His people in bible times.

After each prayer or prophesy, is My take in italics which highlights issues of interest such as intimacy with God, assurance of answered prayer, God’s faithfulness and compassion towards His children and the WILL of God. The latter being a prerequisite for answered prayer. The prayers and prophesies are taken from each of the 66 books of the bible. You will observe that some of the prophesies do not have responses from the Prophets but they are included to demonstrate that God spoke and they heard Him and as such each of these prophesies are already Incense Fom Golden Bowls that keep pouring on earth until Jesus returns. None of them will be lost.

The months of prayer based on the Lord’s prayer, beginning in 2017 to December 2019 are included as evidence of consistent and fervent prayer. Ultimately, these prayers are also being presented to God in Golden Bowls as incense and poured down continuously from the throne of God in heaven to win victories on earth; the purpose for which they were sent.

    Selected assuring and favorite

    answered prayer.

(you may want to add your favorite verses here)

    Luke 18:1-8

The Parable of the Persistent Widow

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: "There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying,] ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’"

6 Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

My Take: Persistence and knowing where my help will come from

The widow knew that the solution to her problem was in the hands of the judge and therefore she had to persist in going to him for help until she was heard. This inspires me to persist in asking God for help because I know that He alone can help me. I go nowhere else for help. I am inspired to persist in asking God for help

    Luke 6:12-16 (KJV)

12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

    13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,

15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,

16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

    My take

My Lord stayed all night praying to His Father! Why not me? What makes me think that I do not need prayer? I am inspired by this example to pray. Come to think of it, Jesus had a divine and critical assignment to perform; the choosing of the 12 disciples. I am inspired to do likewise. I am resolved to pray intensely before undertaking any major event or taking major decisions.

Matthew 17:14-21 New King James Version (NKJV)

    A Boy Is Healed

14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 "Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him."

17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me. 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, Why could we not cast it out?
