    WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

We are living in some very difficult times. We see and hear what is happening in the news through print and broadcast media, newspapers, and even in our own neck of the woods. We pray, we fast, and we try to be of some assistance when we can. We hurt and sometimes feel like things have gone too far. But the mercy, grace, and love of God says a resounding NO! God is still in control, and He is still ruling and will continue to reign on in the earth through us, His people. (see Our Daily Bread for July 4, 2015 The Cyrus Cylinder by Dave Branon)

It is so time for us as a body of believers to rise up and take our rightful places in the earth. What’s that rightful place, you say? Scripture tells us where our rightful place is as found in Deuteronomy 28:13(Amplified), The Lord will make you head (leader) and not the tail (follower); and you will be above only and not beneath, if you listen and pay attention to the commandments of the Lord your God, which I am commanding you today, to observe them carefully. Romans 8:37 also tells us that we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus, who will do even greater works than He. (Greater than Jesus? Say What? Read (John 14:12-14). In this passage of scripture, it is letting us know that, when we believe in Jesus, He goes to the Father on our behalf, and gives us the authority to do great works on the earth. When we ask in His name, He will do whatever we ask. Praise God! Read Mark 16:15-20 as well. This passage of scripture is letting us know that the mission we are to accomplish is clear. In His name we will, 1. Preach the Gospel to all creation. 2. They will be saved. 3. Signs will accompany those who believe. Here is a list of those signs:

    1. Drive out demons.

    2. Speak in new tongues.

    3. Pick up snakes with their hands.

    4. Drinking deadly poison will not hurt us.

    5. Lay hands on the sick and see them get well.

I don’t know about you but, that is a powerful mission indeed! In verses 19-20, we can see that these signs accompanied the disciples that as they went out to preach the Gospel, The Lord worked with them and confirmed all that He had spoken in verses 15-18. Amen!

God has equipped us, through the Holy Spirit, to do great and mighty things on the earth. Let’s be about our Father’s business as was Jesus and He will be about ours. Amen! (2 Chronicles 7:14)

God has made it clear in 2 Corinthians 5:21. God reminds us that we have been made the righteousness of God through Christ. I love the Amplified Bible (AMP) version:. For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [ that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in the right relationship with Him by His gracious loving kindness what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]. WOW!

Then, we look at Romans 3:20-24 and are reminded about more of the righteousness blessing."

For no person will be justified (made righteous, acquitted, and judged acceptable) in His sight by observing the works prescribed by the Law. For [the real function of] the Law is to make men recognize and be conscious of sin [not mere perception, but an acquaintance with sin which works toward repentance, faith, and holy character]. But now the righteousness of God has been revealed independently and altogether apart from the Law, although actually it is attested by the Law and the Prophets. Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [and it is meant] for all who believe. For, there is no distinction, since all have sinned and are falling (present tense) short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives. All are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,

That’s a mouth and earful, but I hope you get the point of what is being said here. It’s grace, my friends, through Christ Jesus! Amen!

If you go through your concordance, and look up the word righteousness, you will find even more concerning this righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Let us begin again, as a body of believers, together, make it our sole/soul purpose to walk in His righteousness. [His way of doing and thinking] If we ever need to advance His kingdom and take it by force, (Matthew 5:12), we need to do it now. Jesus, take the wheel!

John the Baptist spoke about the kingdom of heaven being at hand back then. Now we are moving even closer to that statement coming to pass. We must rise and awake, taking heed to 2 Chronicles 7:14, If My people, (That’s us, saints) who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. Let us begin to do as it is written in the Word of God in Hebrews 10:23-27,. So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgment of it, for He who has promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. For if we go on deliberately and willingly sinning after once acquiring the knowledge of the Truth, there is no longer any sacrifice left to atone for (our) sins [no further offering to which to look forward]. [There is nothing left for us then] but a kind of awful and fearful prospect and expectation of divine judgment and the fury of burning wrath and indignation which will consume those who put themselves in opposition [to God]."

If anyone is reading this right now, I pray that you will read John 3:16-17. God loves us so much and desires that we come, just as we are, regardless of where you are and what you are doing, and receive His love, mercy, grace, and strength, to live lives that are full and abundantly blessed, both physically and spiritually. Amen! For those of us who are already in a relationship with Jesus, let’s be encouraged that the effectual, fervent prayers of the righteous, availeth much, and that the righteous have never been forsaken nor their seed begging bread. ( Read bible passages Ps.37:25, and 1 Pet.3:12, and James 5:16 for more about the righteous of man) Amen again!
