    CHAPTER ONE

    A NEW WAY OF LIFE

"About 2,000 years ago a man was born, and He sold His life for one thing: the will of His Father. Relying completely on the Holy Spirit, He only said what He heard His Father say. He only did what He saw His Father do. His actions were books in themselves, and His words were not from this age. He was sold on one thing: the Kingdom of Heaven. He would heal someone and then declare that the Kingdom is near! He walked on water to get places. A few times He vanished, and a few times He appeared. He only knew that of His Father, and He also knew why He was here. The reason for His life was seen in every step He took and every word He spoke. The core of His message was rooted in someone who is unseen but yet so clearly shown. He lived a life that was ever impossible but so accessible.

They say that the works He did could fill up all the books in the entire world. He walked with compassion and called Himself the Light. His clothes carried virtue enough to heal the sick. He would have dinner toasts that would make your stomach queasy. He walked through walls instead of opening up doors. He fed the people who followed him around. He rode on a donkey and restored blind eyes. He lived His life for someone else.

Those are just a few activities from the daily life of Jesus. Jesus did and taught many things. However, without knowing certain things about the Godhead, His demonstrations and teachings in our lives can be overlooked and easily misunderstood. The average Christian lives their life with a cloudy perspective on the individual roles of the Father, the Son Christ Jesus, and the wonderful Holy Spirit. Although they are one as the Trinity, each person of the Godhead has a very unique role in everything that pertains to our lives. The individual roles of each person in the Trinity will be the backdrop for this book.

    God: The Father

Abba Father’s desire to have a bigger family is the reason why we are here. The outstanding love of God the Father is the very reason why Jesus was manifested in the flesh. Throughout the book, we will take a look at the love of the Father and how it affects our lives. Jesus only said and did what He saw His Father say and do, so it is also essential for us to know the Father’s will. Along with searching out the will of God, we then have to embrace His mood. The amount that we embrace the goodness of God is the amount that we will see His love and power.

    God: The Son Jesus Christ

The whole root of the Christian life is based in the man Christ Jesus. Everything Jesus did and said that is recorded in Scripture is presented before us to help establish our means of life. To compose any foundation in the Christian walk apart from the life of Jesus is false. Jesus is the way (John 14:6)—the only way. He is our model, and we need to accept everything He did to call ourselves His followers.

    God: The Holy Spirit

Our amazing Holy Spirit is often viewed as a fuzzy cloud in the Christian mind. Most believers find it hard to relate to this person of the Godhead. Furthermore, before Jesus was carried up into heaven, He breathed on His disciples and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’ (John 20:22). In Mark 16:19, Jesus took His place at the right hand of God the Father in heaven, thus leaving the Holy Spirit in charge as the working power of the Godhead that remains on the earth. It is without a doubt necessary that we should get to know Him.

    It’s Not a Rescue Mission

There are foundational concepts and ideas for the Christian life, for example, how Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary (immaculate conception from the Holy Spirit). This is a known fact that is absolutely essential in the Christian life. This book will not be a persuasion tool in convincing you that Jesus is the only way, because I am already certain of that. Since you are reading this, I will assume that those basic facts are already believed and accepted unto salvation. If, however, you are not saved yet, being saved is simply an acceptance of this God of power into your life.

Jesus is the door to the Kingdom of Heaven (John 10:9); without Him, no man shall enter. The day we walked through that door, we embraced salvation. Many believers had a born-again experience but were never made aware that they could access the Kingdom of Heaven now.

Without knowing, they live their lives waiting for the Jesus rescue mission and substitute their purpose on earth for something much lesser than their high calling. With that mindset, they withdraw from experiencing the rewards of the Cross and disregard the purpose of Jesus’ death.

I would like to suggest to you that there is more to life than just getting saved. After a person accepts Christ in their heart and becomes born again, they now have access to the heavenly things that Jesus spoke of and demonstrated. Throughout the course of this book, I want to show you that God did not plan a rescue mission; He planned an Earth invasion.

    The New Normal

Throughout our daily living, we have adopted rules and regulations that compose our normal view system.

This system includes (but is not limited to) the basic laws of matter, gravity, and physics. Then, one day, our system is tested when Jesus walks on the scene and starts to defy the very laws of nature that He put in place. For instance, He walked on water. I have thought about that possibility, and water is actually not consistent enough to hold someone who decided to walk on it. It’s impossible. Jesus did not seem to mind that He was breaking our natural laws.

Jesus walked in a supernatural life, where impossibilities became possible. When the disciples decided to follow Jesus, they could no longer live their lives as usual. If we are to follow this one who defies gravity, don’t you think our normal daily activities might change a little?

Jesus walked in a supernatural dimension by accessing things that are unseen. That is where He was anchored; it is the place of His residency. I assure you that the temporal shall pass away, but everything that is unseen is eternal. Jesus Christ walked in a supernaturally natural life. He also lived His life in such a way that it could be multiplied many times over in us. You might say, Brother Jeremy, are you telling me to do the same things that Jesus did? And I would say, yes, I am! It’s not false doctrine; it’s the Bible.

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father (John 14:12).

It’s easy to read a verse and never let it affect you. So let’s get affected! I don’t believe the works that Jesus spoke of had anything to do with passing out tracts. I don’t think He was even talking about being a good person. By works, He meant the fruit of His life. If you read the Gospels, what do you see Jesus do all the time? He healed the sick and forgave sins. Jesus would consistently set people free from their iniquities. He brought freedom to those who were oppressed by the devil. He cast out demons and raised people from the dead. Jesus was obviously not schooled in our normal ways of living.

In Matthew 10, Jesus called everyone to a new normal and commanded His works upon us.

And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give (Matthew 10:7–8).

Jesus was saying to the people who chose to follow Him, do as I do so the world can experience my Kingdom. He commanded them to heal the sick along with more impossible feats. I believe Jesus knew exactly what He was doing in His asking of us to complete such gigantic commands. Now, somewhere between the agreement in our heart and confession of our mouth during our salvation, we were called to a new normal.

Are you aware that everything Jesus did then is accessible to us today? His entire life was lived in such a way that it might be duplicated. Miracles, signs, and wonders are for today! Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He hasn’t changed, not one bit.

I want to take you on a journey that will help you step into the very life that was intended for you. I also want to tear apart religious ways of thinking that deny the power of God. Jesus died on the cross so that we don’t have to.

Many things that He accomplished for us we neglect to embrace because of our lack of knowledge and understanding.

I would also like us to uncover compromises that are keeping us from experiencing the Kingdom of Heaven and the power of God in our lives. I want to give you a clearer picture of what is available for us today so you don’t have to wait until Jesus comes back to receive. Oh, friend, there are experiences with God that you do not know of. There are people that are waiting for you to find out who you are. So they too are able to achieve all they are called to do because you have been changed.

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God (Romans 8:19).

Even creation eagerly waits for the children of the King to find out who they are. Let us venture into the depths of Jesus and see what He’s laid aside for us. Let’s embrace what He did on the cross. Furthermore, let us live our lives so that Jesus can receive His full reward on the day of His return. Buckle up or unbuckle—I don’t care.

The only warning that comes with this book is that heaven might invade through your curiosity. Won’t you join me in this normal Christian life?

The only beneficial thing in your life is to find out what God is doing.

    CHAPTER TWO

    HIS NAME IS JESUS

"His name is Jesus, the Father’s only Son. There are several things that I wish to address in this chapter about Jesus. Many Christians live their lives without a very good idea of the things that Jesus did and why He did them. They only seek enough from Jesus to keep them safe and out of harm. Although safety and shelter is something that Jesus offers, it by no means encompasses all the benefits of the life of Jesus. Throughout this chapter, I aim to paint a picture of the life
