    Introduction:

    WHAT IS THANKSGIVING?

    How do we practice it?

    Why is it important?

How does it affect our lives?

These are some of the questions that we will explore in this book.

Thanksgiving is a way of recognizing God’s faithfulness and goodness in our lives. It is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to God for who He is and what He has done for us. It is also an attitude and a perspective that we adopt in our daily lives, regardless of our circumstances or situations. It is also a relationship that we cultivate with God and others, based on His love and grace.

Thanksgiving is not just a holiday or a tradition that we celebrate once a year. It is a lifestyle and a value that we should cultivate every day. It is not just a duty or a ritual that we perform out of obligation or habit. It is a joy and a privilege that we enjoy out of love and faith. It is not just a response or a reaction that we have to certain events or occasions. It is a choice and a decision that we make in every moment and situation.

Thanksgiving has the power to transform our lives in many ways. It can fill our hearts with happiness and satisfaction in God. It can also fill our minds with hope and confidence in His promises. It can also fill our mouths with praise and honor to His name. It can also fill our hands with generosity and service to His kingdom. It can also fill our eyes with wonder and awe at His creation. It can also fill our ears with music and melody to His glory.

The Bible gives us many examples of people who gave thanks to God in different situations. They showed us how to practice thanksgiving in various ways.

    Such as:

David, who gave thanks to God for His protection and deliverance from his enemies, such as Saul, Goliath, or Absalom. He wrote many psalms of thanksgiving, such as Psalm 18, Psalm 30, or Psalm 34.

Daniel, who gave thanks to God for His wisdom and revelation in his dreams and visions, such as the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream or the prophecy of the end times. He also gave thanks to God for His presence and power in his trials and tribulations, such as the lions’ den or the fiery furnace.

Paul, who gave thanks to God for His grace and salvation in his conversion and calling, such as his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus or his commission to preach the gospel to the Gentiles. He also gave thanks to God for His provision and strength in his ministry and sufferings, such as his missionary journeys or his imprisonments.

Jesus, who gave thanks to God for His
