The objective of this Book is not to put down any religious beliefs, teachings, laws and practices we embrace. Its intention is to discover who we are in the spiritual realm and how our identity relates to God, who is our Creator and Master of this universe, and how this Father and Child relationship gives us freedom of Peace, which is the ultimate goal in humanity with an assured destiny of eternal life in the kingdom of God.

Such repeated feats as recorded throughout the history of mankind would never bring down the kingdom of God from heaven to earth. Our Heavenly Father is a God of Peace, Love and Harmony. He is not a God of War, Hatred and Division.

Misguided beliefs and biblical misinterpretations through religious laws of men in the flesh had inflected countless and senseless innocent bloodsheds upon mankind. Walking with faith in the flesh is knowledge. Walking with faith in the spirit is truth. All men shall be born again of the Word of God which is full of truth and grace, to fully embrace God and live eternally in His divine Truth and Spirit. The Word of God is embedded in all men as each man is born with a given measure of faith in the Word of God.

A passionate study of the scriptures, with passages curated from both the Old Testament and the New. Christianity is the only way to go.

Chris is a man who is wholly committed to the Christian biblical scriptures. Right from the get-go, Chris begins his own interpretation of passages from the Bible that he has curated in a way that follows the biblical timeline from the Old Testament to the New. He is intensely inspired and passionate about the scriptures. He discusses the journey between being a non-believer and believer as a transformation process which he likens to the growth cycle of a mustard tree which begins with the seed of faith.

Chris uses a biblical image of the mustard seed as a symbol of growth and connects it to the number 9 because the mustard plant grows 9 feet tall. He expands on that number to find other instances in the Bible where it is symbolic, like the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit.

I liked his graphs that parallel faith, hope and love with the questions; who are we? Why are we created? What does life mean to us? How should we live our lives? Where is our ultimate destiny?

Chris also puts forth what he calls an Option theory. He presents us with two options on how we want to live our lives moving forward. And we are to answer the questions after we die. If you could choose, would you live in eternity with God, or would you live eternally with your family? And he teases out the idea that God is someone we cannot understand in a physical sense, so we would all pick our families. And it is through Jesus, that man can get a glimpse into who God is. But there is one thing, Chris knows for sure, the Christian God is the one choice for everyone in the world. The only choice.

Chris has committed to studying the Bible as a way of being and has done a lot of heavy lifting that many of us will never do for ourselves. I would like to read more of Chris’ personal reflections because there were many biblical passages that need commentary. Overall, it is promising. Thank you, Chris, a faithful man of God.

Let us all begin this chapter with an overview of humanity to be followed by the two (2) key pertinent questions – who is God to you and who are you to God in an intellectual questions and answers dialogue – examining all key aspects of our present day beliefs in our contemporary daily living environment.

In our present day, there are numerous religions and beliefs and even denominations within the same sect of faith. The major renowned beliefs are Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism.

The Atheists do not believe there is the existence of God. They proclaim that men created God in their psychological minds. In their viewpoint, God is created to fill up the knowledge gap which science has yet to fully discover to give us the satisfactory illuminating answer in an acceptable and convincing manner concerning any matter.

All the above-mentioned major renowned religions and beliefs are supposedly to lead humanity into upright moral living with correctness of social relationships exhibiting equal rights, justice, fairness, respect and care for all human races living under one roof on earth which is our world.

Without doubt though many may dispute it - our present-day world has seen tremendous progress in humanity – be it in the field of science, social justice, economic development, human rights, health care, environmental care and others.

Our world has progressed from two (2) infamous world wars – the First World War from 1914 to 1918 whilst the Second World War from 1935 to 1945. Millions of innocent civilians had been tortured and killed during these two wars and yet all these major renowned religions and beliefs had existed thousands or hundreds of years before these catastrophic events.

And many are anticipating a third world war in the age to come with the high likelihood of it to be triggered in the Middle East – the seemingly no end conflict between the Jews and the non-Jewish people (including all of us).

The social and economic injustice is seemingly more evident with nearly half of the world’s population living on less than USD3 a day (equivalent to USD90 a month)! According to UNICEF, approximately 22,000 children die each day due to poverty!

In countries which embrace democratic practices and perfectly free capital markets with dominance seen mostly in western countries; it is a common phenomenon for the wealthiest households to own the majority of the country’s wealth as wide disparities in wealth and income are evident in all of these countries.

Two notable examples in point are America and India – the wealthiest 1% of American households own 40% of the country’s wealth according to a most recent research paper whilst for India – the richest 1% of Indian households own half of the country’s wealth and the bottom 60% which is the majority of the Indian population, own only a miniscule 5% of the nation’s wealth.

In countries which embrace social capitalism where intervention from the central government or bureaucracy is evidently in practice – the economic disparities in wealth and income are similar. A leading example is China – the richest 1% of the households own more than one third (1/3) of the country’s wealth.

Driven by the very lustful desires of human nature for dominion in almost every sphere of connectivity in an ever-expanding boundary of existence, men continue with their selfish pursuit for self-proclaimed righteousness, political power, economic dominance and self- actualization perpetuating social and economic injustice and lawlessness in human societies throughout the history of mankind.

There are many of us who are born deformed – blind, deaf, dumb, lame with some even without hands and legs while others are mentally retarded. And without doubt, there are also a handful of us who are born rich – children of multimillionaires or billionaires.

There had been, there are and there would be – many heroes who had fought, who are continuing with their struggles and who would be fighting for justice in human rights and equality in the social and economic wellbeing for the common good of all brotherhood in their societies and countries. Some of their names could be remembered if only they were recorded in the history books and many were forgotten as time continues to move on with our everlasting journey in the history of mankind.

AS KING SOLOMON, ONE OF THE WISEST MEN WHO HAD LIVED ON EARTH, SAID, WHAT HAS BEEN WILL BE AGAIN AND WHAT HAS BEEN DONE WILL BE DONE AGAIN. THERE IS NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN.

Questions which had surfaced in our minds a long time ago in the past, present and age to come continued to resurface time and time again as we continue to endure our struggles in our daily life.

WHO AM I?

WHO CREATED ME AND WHERE DID I COME FROM?

WHAT AM I MADE OF?

WHO IS GOD?

WHY WAS I CREATED?

WHY DO I COME INTO THIS WORLD AND MADE TO LIVE A STRUGGLING LIFE FULL OF STRIFE –

A LIFE WITHOUT PEACE AND A LIFE WITHOUT SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE AND EVENTUALLY ALL WORLDLY GAINS – BE IT IN WEALTH, SOCIAL STATUS, BADGES OF HONOR, PHILANTHROPIC DEEDS OR RELATIONSHIPS WOULD HAVE TO BE LEFT BEHIND WITH MY BODY GOING TO THE GRAVE AND ME TO BE REMEMBERED NO MORE –

ALL EQUIVALENT TO A LIFE WITHOUT ANY PURPOSE OR MEANING?

KING SOLOMON ONCE SAID, I HAVE SEEN ALL THE THINGS THAT ARE DONE UNDER THE SUN; ALL OF THEM ARE MEANINGLESS, A CHASING AFTER THE WIND.

DOES GOD REALLY EXIST?

Let all of us who come from whichever ethnic group, family, educational or religious background with whatsoever sort of religious ideologies or beliefs or personal philosophies, sit back and ponder – visualizing a bigger picture with clarity in our minds.

Let us search our souls and hearts with all sincerity and honesty – it is our common belief that none of us would like to be born an orphan or to live a lonely life without any family affiliation and affinity or the tender loving care of a closely knitted family. None of us would like to be ostracized or treated as aliens in our society.

Allow all our common beliefs to be put aside for now – those common religious doctrines inherited and passed down from one generation to another generation – from our forefathers, our religious schools and teachers.

Let us assume for now that after our death in the physical realm: there is no such a place called either heaven or hell or hades or paradise. Assume we have only two (2) eternal places – one is called ABC – Option I whilst the other one is called XYZ – Option II.

OPTION I

ABC is a beautiful and majestic palace made of gold and silver and for the one who lives therein, – all his or her needs would be fully served by maids or servants. The palace is guarded by angels. And the Master and Owner of this beautiful palace is called GOD – someone whom all of us have scant or little knowledge of, someone whom all of us know only from our historical biblical religious scriptures or teachings inherited from our ancestors and predecessors, someone who is going to appear as a stranger to all of us in the physical realm.

OPTION II

XYZ is a nice village wooden cottage home with comfortable settings and space for a family sized dwelling. There is no gold or silver. There are no maids or servants, and of course no angels as guardians of the house. And assuming your beloved family members who have already passed away – parents, siblings, spouse, children live here.

AFTER DEATH CHOOSE

OPTION I

ABC = GOD + YOURSELF

OPTION II

XYZ = YOURSELF + YOUR FAMILY

BE HONEST TO YOURSELF AND SPEAK OUT THE THOUGHTS FROM YOUR SOUL AND THE BOTTOM OF YOUR HEART.

AFTER DEATH

WOULD YOU CHOOSE OPTION I – TO LIVE ETERNALLY WITH A STRANGER CALLED GOD IN A BEAUTIFUL MAJESTIC PALACE MADE OF GOLD AND SILVER AND TO BE FULLY SERVED BY MAIDS OR SERVANTS?

OR

WOULD YOU CHOOSE OPTION II – TO LIVE ETERNALLY WITH ALL YOUR BELOVED FAMILY MEMBERS IN A COMFORTABLE WOODEN COTTAGE HOME FIT FOR FAMILY DWELLING?

With absolute faith and perfect judgement in our hearts without a single tinge of doubt, all of us would choose OPTION II.

All of us would want to be together with our loved ones and our family no matter where, no matter how, no matter why or no matter what in our after life in this world. Why would anyone of us want to live eternally with a stranger called God – a person whom we have never touched base with in the physical realm? We can describe our Dad, Mom, brothers, sisters, spouse, kids, cousins, friends and et cetera but not God. We can only describe God from the excerpts or verses extracted from the biblical scriptures – be it the Christian Bible, the Islam Quran, the Jewish Torah and et cetera.

All of us were born in a family. None of us came into this world on his or her own. No doubt a handful of us would argue that some of us are orphans abandoned by our biological parents. Even with that, we cannot deny the fact that orphans were born out of the biological parents with whom they were supposed to form a family.

Let all of us review this fundamental key question – why do all of us want to go to this place called heaven and to be with God which is OPTION I?

Is it out of compulsive thoughts of fear as most of us have been taught by our religious doctrines and ideologies that if we choose OPTION II – we would be tormented day and night or made to suffer eternally in a burning lake of fire? Yes! Almost all of us have been brought up in an environment where such misconception is engraved in our minds that there is this place for everlasting punishment for our souls and it is called hell.

Let us once again for now put aside the historical differences of our religious beliefs and doctrines which we have held onto steadfastly for centuries, which had caused and it is still causing the shedding of innocent blood and sacrifice of human lives.

Give ourselves a chance to have an in-depth look at the oldest biblical scriptures to shed the light of understanding to discover who we truly are in the spiritual realm.

GENESIS 1

Day 1

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, let there be light. And there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Day 2

And God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.

And God said, "let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind." And it was so. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

And God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew; for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

THE TRUTH

MAN HAS BEEN CREATED IN THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD. EACH AND EVERY LIVING SOUL WHO CAME INTO THIS WORLD WAS GIVEN BIRTH WITH A SPIRIT IN HIS OR HER HEART WHO IS LIKENED TO GOD. GOD IS THE ONE WHO GIVES BIRTH TO THE SPIRIT OF A MAN AND MAN IS A SON OF GOD!

THE SPIRIT OF MAN LIVES ETERNALLY AS OUR HEAVENLY FATHER – GOD LIVES ETERNALLY!

GOD GIVES US THE BREATH OF LIFE. IN EACH OF OUR BREATHING IN AND OUT, WE ARE ACTUALLY CALLING GOD AND PRAISING HIM WITHOUT OUR SELF AWARENESS. LIFE COMES FROM GOD!

OUR PHYSICAL BODIES ORIGINATED FROM THE DUST OF THE GROUND. AFTER OUR LAST BREATH OF LIFE UPON DEATH, OUR SPIRITS LEAVE OUR PHYSICAL BODIES AND RETURN HOME TO GOD. WHILST OUR PHYSICAL BODIES DIE AND BEGIN TO DEGENERATE AND DECOMPOSE – RETURNING BACK TO THE GROUND.

Our physical realm is always more than often a semblance or reflection of our spiritual realm. In the physical realm, do we possess the physical attributes and features of our earthly parents – in our looks, physical form and et cetera? Certainly, we do! Right? Yes! We are the physical photocopies of our parents. And man had been made by God to be the ruler of this world – to have dominion over all the earth. Doesn’t this elevated position of man have any parallel similarity to God who is the authoritative creator and master of this universe? Yes, certainly!

Then, who is God to us in the spiritual realm? God is our heavenly Father in the spiritual realm! Throughout our life span – most of us have not been made aware of this eternal truth. We often listen to and accept only what men have been telling us in the physical world. It is time for us to be awakened in the spiritual realm that each and every one of us is in actual fact a child of God! This is the eternal truth that God has been telling us time and again throughout the history of mankind.

It is beyond the reach of science to prove this biblical truth – I believe such is the line of contention of the atheists. It is fine. Perhaps we could look at other empirical evidence of the biblical scriptures concerning our physical realm to give us the psychological assurance on the authenticity of the biblical scriptures.

As per scientific research, carbon is the fourth most abundant element and is the building block of life on earth. It is present in all life. All living things contain carbon in some form. And carbon is the primary component of macromolecules including proteins, lipids, nucleic acids and carbohydrates. Carbon also exists in the leaves, including in the cellulose to form the leaf’s structure and in chlorophyll – the pigment which makes the leaf green.

As per studies conducted by experts, there is approximately 65,500 billion tons of carbon on earth combined and the largest reservoir of carbon is located in the deep ocean with 36,000 billion tons of carbon stored!

The aforesaid research and studies – all point to the authenticity of the biblical scriptures as extracted and presented on the preceding pages; stating with affirmative authority that all the plants and all the living creatures (including man) were made from the earth (ground).

Looking at the Hebrew or Aramaic text – the name ADAM given to the first (1st) man on earth actually originated from the word ADAMAH which means = MAN + BLOOD + GROUND.

Now, going back to the questions asked earlier on. We would now have answers to the first four (4) questions.

WHO AM I?

I AM A CHILD OF GOD! I AM HIS HEAVENLY SON OR DAUGHTER!

WHO CREATED ME AND WHERE DID I COME FROM?

GOD CREATED ME. I CAME FROM GOD! GOD GAVE BIRTH TO MY SPIRIT!

WHAT AM I MADE OF?

MY PHYSICAL BODY ORIGINATED FROM THE DUST OF THE GROUND.

WHO IS GOD?

GOD IS MY HEAVENLY FATHER!

In the natural physical realm, all of us were born in a family of our own. Our earthly parents gave birth to our physical Adamah bodies. None of us came into this world on our own. No doubt a handful of us would still argue that some of us were abandoned as orphans, even then we could not deny the truth that all of us have our own biological parents.

Similarly, in the spiritual realm, all of us were born in a family and God is our Heavenly Father, and each and everyone of us is a child of God!

Every living soul in the history of mankind has been created by God to have holy communion with Him in a bonded family relationship likened to a son to his father. Otherwise, we do not have any compelling reason to choose OPTION I – which is the eternal truthful response to the questions raised in this chapter.

Back to the question number five (5) of this chapter, as given in the following:

WHY WAS I CREATED?

WE HAVE BEEN CREATED BY GOD OUT OF HIS FAITH AND LOVE TO HAVE HOLY COMMUNION IN A BONDED RELATIONSHIP LIKENED TO A CHILD TO HIS OR HER FATHER!

Casting aside our historical religious background and beliefs, be it in education and/or family brought up environment, we shall see the revelation of this shocking truth in the forthcoming chapters of this book.

Would any one of us love God so deeply – with all our heart, soul and strength if God is not our Heavenly Father and we are not the children of God? How is it possible to love God more than our family members, beloved ones and friends considering the fact that we have yet to touch base with God (other than Christ) in the physical realm – not even once from cradle to grave?!

CONCLUSION IN SUMMARY

EACH AND EVERY LIVING SOUL IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND IS A CHILD OF GOD!

There is only one (1) and this is the only one (1) compelling reason why we could love God so deeply.

OUR RETURN TO GOD IS THE ONLY ULTIMATUM IN LIFE. AND IT IS UNCONDITIONAL, IRRESPECTIVE OF WHO, WHERE AND WHAT KIND OF SELF WE ARE!

EACH AND EVERY LIVING SOUL IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND SHALL AND WOULD BE WITH GOD, WHO IS OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IN OUR ETERNAL LIFE. THIS IS THE ETERNAL TRUTH!

There is no OPTION II. There is only one option and that is OPTION I. And OPTION I is for all of us!

CHAPTER 2 WHO IS THE DEVIL?

This question often pops up in our minds – which entails the following questions in our day to day encounter with the struggles in our lives.

WHO IS THE DEVIL?

DID GOD CREATE THE DEVIL? IF YES, THEN WHY DID GOD CREATE THE DEVIL?

WHY DID GOD NOT EXECUTE THE DEVIL?

DOES GOD TRULY LOVE US UNCONDITIONALLY IN A RELATIONSHIP LIKENED TO A FATHER TO HIS SON?

Let us once again look at the first (1st) book of the oldest biblical scriptures, to discover another shocking and controversial revelation of truth.

GENESIS 2:9

And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

GENESIS 2:15-17

And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eat thereof thou shalt surely die.
