The Gifts, The Armor, The Body

My prayer is that this information brings unification to the body of Christ that's never been seen before now. I pray for a fresh coming together as a living organism, an army that we are called to be for God's glory. This is an application plan for the aligning of the Gifts of God properly, to function in them correctly, to use them timely as the Spirit leads.

This message is a doorway to the next phase of the kingdom of God at work on earth as it is in heaven. We, the body, must go to the next level of operation to win the next territory that is ours. Just as the children of Israel had to stop going in cycles of old routines and leave the desert of irrelevant tradition to take the promised land by faith in God's word. So must we move on to love and unite, fighting as one body with a common enemy. We must go on past the fundamentals, moving on to the next phases to know and experience a deeper love of God to share it (Ephesians 3:17-19). The body of Christ must be one functioning as the salt of the world (Hebrews 5:11-6:3).

The education system, for example, exposes the basic alphabet and numbers then there is a graduation from kindergarten, instead of year after year going over the same basics never building on that first exposure (wandering in a desert). The next phases to learning how to read, write, and count must be incorporated at some point in an education to have some type of progression. There has to be change and a constant exposure to new knowledge. The graduation of the twelfth grade should be after learning and knowing how to apply the basics in several different ways.

So the Gifts of God are given to accomplish the will of God on the earth. Jesus is our example and he operated under them, functioned in and used them. We, as his body, now on earth are called to greater works (John 14:12). The greater works can be accomplished united in love and power from the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).

Preface

This message is about the Gifts of God and how they could function in society today along with the operation of what we wrestle against. The Gifts of God in three distinctive groups under the Father, Son and Holy Spirit showing each group’s own function, definition, and category.

I set out to help a co-worker who wasn’t sure of her gift from God. While trying to put together a brief explanation of the gifts from my Spirit-Filled Life Bible’s information on Holy Spirit Gifts and Power by Paul Walker,¹ something began in my life that is continuing right now. A fresh new walk with God began as I stretched to do something I had no clue how to do. The same time that I was working on this information, an Elder at my church suggested a book titled, Switch on Your Mind by Caroline Leaf,² which put me on a path, since reading and applying it, to newness of life. Revelation began that has not stopped and I have been trying to keep up with ongoing information flowing into me. Learning how to sort, store, and apply it to this very day. Switch on Your Mind helped me to be set free on a higher level than ever before, which allowed a higher level of seeking the Lord. The Lord started revealing a part of Himself through the Holy Spirit that helped me see how organized and orderly he is. Which in turn made me see how unorganized I was. I also could see how much we, his body, was disjointed. The valley of dry bones is similar to the body of Christ today, some of the reason for failures and stagnation in the body today.

The Gifts are one of the solutions to the Body today; in proper use, they are greater than the Internet. The Holy Spirit can unite his people all over the world. Reason being God the Spirit is omnipresent. The world wide web is child’s play when it comes to submitted committed people in love with God. Just imagine the flow of God’s constant contact through the power of his Spirit with his own creation on a corporate level for his will being done on earth as it is in heaven (John 15:7).

What we fight and wrestle against are in unity and order, taking our territory with systematic consistency. We are called to occupy like the parable Jesus told, until he comes again and we have more than enough to accomplish it if united in love (Luke 19:13, Matthew 17:20).

I have had to deal with my stagnation, giving up friends, people pleasing, favorite TV programs, food, and sleep; letting go of the past, crutches, bad habits, and routines. Then I had to start walking out good habits by faith, being healed of the need of some meds, glasses, and self-doubt to name a few.

The Holy Spirit’s presence and leading show all their place in the kingdom of God is my prayer.
