Briggs is a wife, mother of four daughters, and grandmother of twelve grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren. She takes pride in being an advocate of lifelong learning and dedication to God.
Briggs is a graduate of Liberty University, served as a Pastor for the United Methodist Church, and held positions in various religious organizations over the last thirty-five years.

In the following pages, my firm desire is that you be encouraged to go deeper into your walk with God. That you find a place of encouragement and spiritual depth that you have never experienced.

There are untold fathoms of new experiences with God through His Spirit that drive us to our knees in repentance and worship. To stand and shout the victory of His great power when you overcome adversity. To hear His gentle whisper in the night. As He reveals Himself through dreams and visions. These experiences are endless, yet I want to remind you to seek God and Jesus Christ first. That is the safest place to begin. Always put God first in your search for greater intimacy, not the experience.

You are a Spirit in a body. God is Spirit. Through your spirit, you will encounter the amazing visions, dreams, gifts, endowments of grace, and your ability to hear and see in the Spirit realm.

In your prayer closet, talk to the Lord and listen to Him. Take time and wait. There is an art to waiting on the Lord. It takes practice, but it is oh so worth it.

Start by picturing the stories in the Bible. Think about them and picture them in your mind. Read the verses that refer to dreams and visions to understand how God operates in the Spirit.

As we take this journey through this book together, stop often and apply some of the principles. Pray, and seek. He is waiting on you to hear Him!

Chapter 1

Spiritual Gifts

John 17: 18-21 (Amplified)

18: Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19: And so, for their sakes and on their behalf, I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate, Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, and made holy) by Truth; Your Word is Truth.

20: Neither for these alone do I pray (it is not for their sake only that I make this request), but also for all those who will ever come to believe in, trust in, cling to, rely on), Me through their word or teaching.

21: That they all may be one, (just) as You Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us so that the world may know and believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.

If you are reading this book, there is a hunger, yearning, and urgency in your heart to know God the Father as you have never known Him before. There is a deep yearning for a relationship with God that you have never experienced before. A drawing to intimacy that you know you need, but have never achieved.
