    Overcoming a Two-Faced Pastor

    LONGING FOR PEACE

Be still, be still, you move too much. You wiggle, you squirm, do you have ants in your pants?

You slip, you fall because of not looking straight.

For once sit still, sit still, you’re driving us insane.

Sit down, sit down and fold your hands.

Don’t move, don’t move so we can concentrate.

Don’t talk, don’t talk, we need to think Peacefulness is what we have been longing.

No running, no pushing you’d fall right down.

Not even rough play someday you’ll understand.

    DON’T FORGET MY SURPRISE!

Little boy Paulie knows his dear mommy

Will be leaving soon to go up flying. She’s a flight attendant flying here and there

Her uniform on, her suitcase on the stair.

Before she leaves them, he would quickly say

Don’t forget to buy me a surprise today.

Her mommy will miss her little handsome boy

I’m sure I won’t forget, I’ll bring something for sure.

A kiss and a hug is exchanged before she leaves

Off she goes in their car; he’ll be waiting here.

He plays with his toys and looks at the time

It’ll be for a while until she comes home tonight.

He plays with his sister. He plays on the computer

He plays with his trucks and eats his dinner.

The sun is now down. She should be home soon.

At this time, he listens right behind the door.

The shaking of the keys and movement from behind

Could it be Mommy? Oh, what a great surprise!

The door opens wide. She is now back from work

Beaming with happiness he runs toward the door.

Everyone is happy that she has returned

A surprise is hidden on her back, he learned

She gives it to him, with delight he grabs it

Siblings open it. They are excited!

She bought them some toys and also some snacks

He loves the surprises. She made them very glad.

DON’T YOU SEE SOMEONE HAD TO HAVE MADE HIM?

    His mini, little hands

    His nose irresistible

    His eyes full of life

    His laugh is enjoyable

Don’t you see someone had to have made him?

    His body, how it grew

    His feet so amazing

    His mind, how it works

    His automatic breathing

Don’t you see someone had to have made him?

To not believe in God is to be a fool To ignore him is truly impossible

For His glory is all among us

How can one ignore so much?

How can you say there is no God When a baby turns into a six-foot lad? Only the Almighty God can do that Your pride just can’t handle that fact.

    PAULIE IS TWO

Now that you have turned two

You like to watch Blue’s Clues.

At first you liked Thomas the Train

So many stages—I see you aim. Jumping on the bed, running away from us

Dancing in public, playing is a must. You entertain anyone no matter what you do

You brighten their day and they love you too.

We praise God for getting us this far, More joy ahead even if you get a scar.

    YOU’RE GOD’S GIFT TO ME

We’ve been married for six years now Still learning each other’s marriage vow.

Remembering the day we stood at the altar

Looking forward to how our life will go far.

We’ve learned so much through the years

Like loving each other and forgiving. Not looking at each other as scum

But God’s precious gift for a lifetime. Here we are still holding hands Working hard and making amends. We’ve grown much closer than before My life wouldn’t be the same if you were gone.

To know that you’ve been there through the years

    Faithful, forgiving, and inspiring.

Let’s cherish each other and laugh out loud

Not counting the years, but making the years count.
