FUNERAL
Why is it when someone dies, that’s when everyone visits you?
The church is filled with mourning, for the person they knew.
From families far away, and friends we hardly see
They’ll travel far and wide, just to see you get buried.
Yes, we have made memories, and hate to let them go
But why visit the dead now, when they don’t talk anymore.
We go in groups in paraded cars, with the flashing lights on
But when the person was alive, we didn’t follow them at all.
We sing a song for them, while the words pierced our hearts
But we never sang a song for them, when they were still alive.
We buy flowers ample of them, which the dead never see
We should have done this earlier, now it’s just to look pretty.
So spend time with your love once, who knows it could be their last.
Go out of your way to be with them, life is short like a dash.
Give them the flowers that they like, or a song that touch their heart
Why visit the dead now, when you can be with them while alive?
IF I COULD MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR YOU
If I could make the world a better place for you
I’d hug you tightly each day and say, I love you.
I’d help you envision the world filled with flowers and rainbow A park place of green trees and lots of fun things to do.
Where the sun shines so magnificently all day
And where the gentle breeze would cool us off while we play.
If I could make the world a better place for you
I’d have family and friends give you kisses and hugs too.
To be able to greet each other with sincere love
And delights in each other’s presence like two small doves.
If I could make the world a better place for you
I’d make a world where no pain exists, no wars are known.
I’d have you live in a world that’s filled with peace, love and joy
This is the world I wish for you, my precious handsome boy.
CAST THE FIRST STONE
(A Song)
Chorus
Cast the first stone if you’ve never sinned Seventy times seven, God willed. God forgives a repentant heart That’s what God is all about.
They were ready to cast a stone On a woman they had never known.
But Jesus said let her be
For God has forgiven her already.
In this world you will have foes But to Jesus Christ you must focus.
Love your enemies, Jesus said Do good to them that is what he meant.
All disciples had past sin
But with amazing Grace they were made clean.
Even Paul was a murderer
But gracious God has changed them all.
I SPEAK NO ENGLISH
(A Song)
Chorus
Can I help you Ma’am? Where is your ticket?
Where are you going? Which one is your gate?
I speak no English but they keep asking
Again and again they keep repeating.
In my country growing up we speak five languages
But the Reservationist only understands English.
I carry a little bag that’s my only belonging
The Bag Handler looks at me and sees I don’t belong here.
I dress very modestly from my head down to my toe
My hat, sweater and shoes TSA wants me to take off.
I am old and feeble in a wheelchair I am fine
The Wheelchair Assistant doesn’t bother to say Hi.
I do look very different from everyone else
The Gate agent just wants me out of her hands.
I can still hear good and no glasses I ever use
The Flight Attendant smiles but at the same time confused.
ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?
(A Song)
Chorus
Speak out for the weak, widows and the lame.
Are you one of them? No backbone.
No shame.
That’s where they belong locked up in the cell
Are you one of them that promise not to tell?
Sweep it under a rug no one will know Got so used of doing, we just ignore.
In the Nursing Home perverted employees
Take advantage of elderly for years.
Even in the church evil lurks Innocence is taken and lives destroyed.
There are staffs that deal with little children
Rumors they know that their bosses touch them.
ON NEWSPAPER TODAY
On Newspaper today under life section I was shocked to see the front cover picture.
Women wearing skimpy and tight bikinis
So very revealing and some look like teens.
No wonder sex trade is at all time high Human Trafficking is easily done.
No one can guess it is a
