About this ebook

Many times, we perceive ourselves to be the only ones going through difficult times, if not a specific, much-too-strange situation to be shared. Evenly Distributed is a collection of poems written on a wide variety of topics and themes, such as self-esteem, weaknesses, relationships, love, grief, doubt, hope, family, general conflict, gratitude, stereotypes, individuality, self-worth and observations. Come to look at it. Can others truly relate to our views and emotions?

Nephtalie Felix

Nephtalie is a nineteen-year-old author from a picturesque town in Haiti called Saint-Marc. She developed a profound passion for writing at a very young age when she would write words, phrases, stanzas, and poems that she didn’t even fully understand at the time. Something fascinating about writing lured her into the magnificent hobby. She started off by writing letters to her friends and family. They would smile or frown, and instantly, she ascertained the power of words. Writing became her sole refuge when she got bullied in high school, complementing other obstacles that she was facing at the time. There, she could let emotions flow freely. Quite therapeutic, writing allowed her to cope. Soon after that, she became a mentor which reminded her of how much she absolutely adored helping others. The more she wrote, the more confident she became, and the more gregarious and passionate she became. Even though she used other known public figures’ quotes, using her own was much more innate and reliable. With that, she started focusing more on poetry as a broader way of helping others and engaging into conversations. Through writing, she discovered the depth of perspective, allowing her to be able to touch different views neutrally.

    AUTHOR’S NOTE:

    Weakness!

    ***

    We all have a weakness,

Perhaps, a girl whose skin is flawless,

With a perfect posture that makes her look dauntless,

The one who causes all or no stress,

Man! If I were you, I would not settle for less.

    ***

    Yes!

We all indeed have a weakness.

    Perhaps, a guy who

    makes you feel blessed,

    No more, no less.

    ***

When he stands there like absolute* spices,

Touches you and shakes you with the perfect caress,

Who makes your life seem endless,

Yeah! He would definitely be my weakness.

    ***

That’s what a weakness is, right?

    That one
