EACH week our team comes together to discuss and plan the magazine – from choosing which stories will go into the issue to sourcing images for each page and seeing everything through to the layout process.

And week after week, story after story, the system never feels old. After a decade of working at YOU I still find myself alternately fascinated, shocked, motivated and moved by the tales we tell and the people we speak to.

We try to temper the harsh realities of the world with the feel-good factor – and this week the one that left me warm and fuzzy was the story of King and Kingston Pebane, tiny twins born at just 26 weeks with a slim chance of survival. There’s a happy ending to what must have been a terrifying chapter in their parents’ lives – turn to page 14 to read all about it.
