Home & Away’s live wire I’M VERY BAD AT BEING MISERABLE

She’s the longest serving female cast member of any Australian TV show. For almost 30 years, actress Lynne McGranger has graced TV screens across the globe playing Irene Roberts – the straight-shooting matriarch of Australian soap Home and Away.

This month, the Sydney-based fan favourite is releasing her “warts and all” memoir, titled Acting Up, detailing relationship heartaches, career disasters and diffi cult choices that would change her life forever.

Witty and warm, Lynne, 68, chatted to the Weekly down the line from “Summer Bay” during a break in filming, and shares that she hopes readers are “equal parts horrified and delighted” by her life’s stories.
