Sins Of The Father

The three stood at her graveside. It was humble off their estate. Pushed far off to the side amongst the bramble. Lest anyone notice and if they did? She was a poor housekeeper who died in childbirth.

And what of it Ian? Lord Stanley ever precise to the point and angry.

What of what? Whitcomb played dumb or he just wanted to hear them say it out loud. To watch them tremble as they spoke their fear.

You know what he speaks of. Gauthier admonished. He wouldn't be goaded either. He just wanted to be certain.

That abomination. Lord Stanley could barely keep his upright good standing Protestant teeth from grinding.

It didn't survive the night, Whitcomb said forcefully.

Well, thankfully of course. It wasn't natural. It wasn't meant to be. Gauthier was somewhat relieved.
