He stood in the robes of his profession, wearing an alb, white like his hair, a long linen garment symbolizing innocence and purity which covered his entire body, the chasuble, signifying his yolk of service, and golden stole around his neck, draping down his chest and back, giving him Apostolic authority to forgive sins, all, revealed him to be a Priest with hands outstretched in the performance of his duties in the middle of the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the Holy rite of sacrament being administered to the faithful.

The Lord be with you. Father Mackenzie began.

And also with you. His congregation followed.

Lift up your hearts. His hands rose.

We lift them up to the Lord. They answered.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. He spoke solemn.

It is right to give him thanks and praise.
