The morning sun began to rise across the southwestern sky.

In the kitchen.

I trust we all slept well last night? Sheila finished setting up breakfast. Placing Cheerios down on the table. No eggs. No bacon. Too hungover for the smell of it. So it was just cereal.

Some of us more than others, Jimmy added with a poke then grabbed the bright yellow box. He looked over at Shane. Pouring himself a bowl.

Shane looked over at Tonto. They smiled at each other.

Jimmy rolled his eyes.

Sheila poured Jimmy a glass of orange juice. Jimmy looked up at her. Disappointed. How about you mom? How'd you sleep? He pondered.

Huh? Sheila, as usual, was distracted. Oh, just fine dear.

Uh-huh... Jimmy didn’t believe.
