About The Author
CURTAINS OPEN
W here I am from when an OG (original gangster) or an elder gave you unexpected knowledge it was called dropping a jewel
. This book is going to be filled with jewels things that I’ve learned along the way in my short time on earth. Things that I’ve seen experienced and wisdom that was giving to me by my OG’s and elders. I truly believe that knowledge is power. You can never get enough knowledge. You can also never be too arrogant and think that you know it all either. So this book is not about me having all the answers it’s about me sharing my thoughts and experiences in the hope that I can help somebody and that knowledge will be passed on cause when you keep jewels to yourself they can never truly shine. But an old friend told me the game is to be sold not told so I decided to write a book as much as I love to give freely I gotta eat and provide for my family. So I hope you enjoy I put my blood, sweat, and tears into writing this (not literally but I’m sure I’ll shed some tears after it comes out). So enjoy and be blessed
− sincerely Nikki

Though we were born without a silver spoon; My broken down TV showed cartoons in my living room; One day I hope to make it, a player in this game; Mama don’t cry, long as we try, maybe things change
- Tupac Unconditional Love
I definitely was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. More like a wooden one. I was born in one of the poorest countries in the world economically Jamaica,West Indies. I was born to a single mother who already had two kids that she was struggling to take care of without much help. I was born with so many things against me since my father didn’t even show up for my birth. So with that being said I say that to say It doesn’t matter where you started. We all have a story, we all have different origins, and we all come from different backgrounds. However, Where are you now? That’s what really matters. You are not where you use to be. You made it this far in your journey through life. You might not be where you want to be, but don’t forget the power is in you. It is up to you to change your circumstance, no one can do it for you, no one can want it for you you have to do it for yourself. You have to want it for yourself. You have to keep it real with yourself. Be honest; Why are you not happy right now? You might put up a front for the world but you gotta be honest with yourself. Shit I know I know for me I had to learn to embrace my past don’t be ashamed of anything. This is what made you strong. You are a survivor; they may have underestimated you and counted you out but that was there mistake. Remember that as much stuff as you have been through you are still standing. So yes honesty is the first step to overall success in anything you do. Which brings me to my next question; Why do people lie? Deceit is the number one reason for chaos and confusion in anyone’s life.
I hate a liar more than I hate a thief. A thief is only after my salary, a liar is after my reality
- 50 Cent I’m a Hustler
So why do people lie when they know it only causes more hurt in the end. There are many different motives behind a lie. But the number one is manipulation. Anyone who knows me knows my biggest pet peeve is dishonesty. To me it is the ultimate form of disrespect. You are basically letting me know you do not think I am smart enough to figure you out and that you are running the show by keeping me in the dark. But one thing I’ve learned to be true What’s done in the dark will always come to light
. So you may believe that you are being slick and you can keep up with all your lies but soon you will have to keep covering your tracks with lies on top of lies until you no longer even recognize the person who is looking back at you in the mirror. There are a lot of people whose whole life is a lie. Do not be deceived with social media becoming the forefront of our society it is easy to think that the images and videos that people put out show that they are living the life. There life is perfect; Perfect relationship, perfect car, dream house, dream job. Do not be deceived a lot of people are miserable they are living a lie. They are not happy you know why because they are not being real with themselves. They call this fronting for the gram. Another term is fake it till you make it, but while your faking you got real people buying into your facade so you’ll drag them into
