Welcome to the Freak Show
Aristotle said, "the whole is greater
Than the sum of its parts"
In reference to human perception
We. Us. not only 1. Not only me.
Is the team greater than the sum of our individuality?
Potentially. Our individuality clashes.
Yet we complement each other’s weaknesses.
So separate, so distinct, yet connected and interweaved
Normal
people will often say
"Part of me things blank,
And another part thinks blank."
How is that so different from how we operate?
Except, that part has a name
And doesn’t necessarily tell me how they feel
It absolutely blows my mind
That not everyone has people in their head
In fact, most people don’t
It blows my mind that most people
Wake up knowing who they are
Like, every morning. Every time
Just, eyes open, hello world, it’s so and so
I’m lucky if we’ve figured it out by 10 AM
Unless we decide the night before
Then, we make sure, but that still takes
Half the morning to differentiate
