About this ebook

This book is the first 72 of over seven hundred poems about my life and random experiences. The poems are about the way I feel, what has happened to me in my past and the things I have learned over the years. Its also about my experience of my third hospitalization for mental health. This book is an emotional roller coaster, going up and down as my moods went up and down when I first started to write. There are a lot of people that suffer the way that I did, and I want them to know that I understand.

First of all, I would like to thank God without whom I would not have had the strength to write. Next I would like to thank my family for being there through all good and bad times. Thank you to my therapists who believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself. And thank you to the many doctors and nurses that contributed to the fight of getting me on the right medications and getting me to stay on them. Finally, I would like to thank the staff at Del Amo hospital who first encouraged me to write.

    Prayer for People with PTSD

I know that it is not within the Harmony of the universe that I be healed from the trauma of my abuse without pain. Help me through the pain. Surround me with the golden light of healing; fill me with the white light of peace and love. Help me to bear the pain as I go through the memories. Help me to cry. Help me to remember. Help me to love myself no matter what happened to me or, what I did to survive. Help me to release and let go of my survival skills, the things such as anger and numbness that helped keep me alive, as
