To the people who stay awake at night wondering why.
Preface
This is the first book I have ever written which is composed of my poetry over the past three years telling my life story as I battle mental health issues. Living with the effects of traumatic experiences and mental illness can feel very isolating and like nobody understands through your perspective. My hope is through each poem someone who has had similar experiences is able to know they are not alone.
Introduction
Welp, I’m supposed to be dead. You might be wondering why I’m not and why I’m supposed to be, well I can answer that with this question; why does everything in life have a sequence of events? Everyone gets a different hand of cards dealt to them in life. Some people start with royal flush others don’t even get the right amount of cards but somehow, someway you learn to work with what ya got. Even if it almost ends up killing you.
