Look What You've Made of Me - Brycen Gaines

    1

    However it pains me.

    However it bethralls me.

    Lack lust,

    Lack desire,

    You pain me,

    It pains me,

But there is not a thing that I can do about it.

    Just wallow in it,

    Tide in it,

    Wade in it,

Time to tie up tied ends.

I want to lose myself within you.

    Anyone will do actually,

The actual realization of my lonely self…

    Who knew you?

    I want to breathe you,

Like dew drops off a tree in a drought, I want to to drink you,

    Envious me,

    How unbecoming,

    How ugly,

    I redeem myself,

I make my wings out of sultry,

    You are not mine,

    Escape my thoughts,

Let me alone, Let me wallow in sloth,

Yet in my mind I still wait for you,

    Foolish love,

    You the obtainable,

    You unobtrusive,

    It is lackluster.

    It is uncultured,

The thought of you maims me,

    You envelop me,

How can I be consoled now?

When my soul is hollowed out and you are the hallowed now?

    I seek you out,

Without a doubt you won’t respond,

    Delusional
