A collection of poems detailing my descent into a dark depression that I just couldn't shake. I always thought that I'd eventually be able to recover and write a sequel entitled, "Surviving Suicide: A Relapse on Life". Unfortunately, I wasn't able to live long enough to write it.

But burn out quicker.

But hate forever.

We were once

Like matches,

Burning bright

Against a midnight sky.

Now all I am

Are ashes.

Waiting, like a phoenix,

I will rise.

My Lovely Addiction

I fell for a girl.

Made from cigarettes and alcohol.

Her tears, bitter like vodka.

Her dreams like marijuana.

But, beyond the broken glass and ash

Was the corpse of a beaten child,

Whose innocence was stolen.
