If you have always been curious about a meditation practice and what that entails, this book will give you some basic guidelines and suggestions for starting and maintaining a meditation practice for beginners. There was a time when meditation was a practice reserved for yogis and mystics prepared to spend hours in trance state. Few ordinary people have the discipline or determination to adhere to this rigorous pursuit. In more recent times, meditation practices have merged some Eastern and Western philosophies making it more assessable to Western students.
Effective meditation can take 15 minutes, at any time of day, anywhere with a relatively quiet space and little or no equipment.
Meditation is a personal experience and one meditation can be very different from the next. Like any new endeavor, it is common to feel awkward at first. If you hang in there, it will pay off. Meditation
