    About The Author

    Introduction

Dear Beloved, welcome to 30 Days to Your Best Life. To begin, I want to go back in time and give you a brief history of some great heroes of faith. These men and women were quite ordinary, but faith made them extraordinary and changed their story. My prayer is that one day in the far future someone will be reading our story and be inspired to be a hero of faith as well.

    Let us first define faith.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. – Heb 11:1

Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions. – Albert Einstein

Your imagination is the evidence of things not seen. – Steve Harvey

In a sense, the last two quotes, although not biblical, are both true sayings as God plants ideas in our thoughts and our heart. However, Faith is the more appropriate word for what we are discussing in this book.

Faith is the preview of those dreams you want and desire. It is seeing and accepting them as real even before they are manifested in the physical realm. If you’re going to live your best life, then trust me, my friend, you are going to need some faith and a whole lot of grace and favor.

Noah was one of the first men to show faith in the Bible when God asked him to get up and build an ark. As normal humans here in the now, we can only imagine how difficult this may have been. Just think, many of us are scared to leave the house having a bad- hair day for fear of the critical eyes of others. Noah had to be in 100% from the get-go. There was no massive storm on the horizon when he started building. The ridicule and shaming must have been tremendous, and yet, he continued through with the deed sight unseen. Noah, however, had something that set him apart. He had extraordinary faith. Extraordinary faith is called for during exceptional times. But really, should this faith be extraordinary? If we follow the Bible, it should be more commonplace.

We also see faith being expressed by Abraham, who followed God faithfully in spite of the questionable circumstances he would have to overcome.

These two men are not alone in the walk of faith; women were right there in the mix with them. Faith does not discriminate. Mary also displayed tremendous conviction in her beliefs. She may have had the most irrational experience of them all when God’s angel appeared and told her she would conceive by the Holy Spirit. That sounds 100% illogical since she was a virgin. However, Mary’s reaction was total faith in action. I can imagine her with a smile on her face and a little sass with the response she gave the angel. Well maybe my imagination is too wild so let’s check the scripture. She said In Luke 1:38:

Then Mary said, Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word. And the angel departed from her (NKJV)

There are many other examples of people in the Bible expressing faith, although at different levels. The common denominator between them was they all expressed their belief in God’s infinite power.

The Bible makes one thing absolutely clear. The more you have faith in God, the more connected you are to Him. Trust in God is everything. The Christian walk is a walk in faith. Without faith, there can be no walk in Christ, no spiritual race, no heavenly race or hope. The reason for that is because we are saved by grace through faith. Without faith, we cannot gain access to God’s grace. As I like to say, God’s grace is like a house filled with precious treasures, but faith is the key needed to access that house. That is why Jesus Christ said to Thomas in John 20:29:

    Then Jesus told him, Because
