    INTRODUCTION

Did you ever feel bad about yourself? Just getting up in the morning can make you feel bad and give you a stomach ache? You wonder, Why do I feel like this? That horrible taste in your mouth, the sweating, the unidentified bad feelings coming from your gut.

Leaving the house and facing people can be one of the biggest challenges that a person with social anxiety can face. It is not a myth and it is not about being spoiled or unproductive. It is a serious condition that many people do not recognize. Those who have never experienced anything like social anxiety might think those with this condition are just acting.

"Get out there and meet some people.’’ For someone suffering from social anxiety, this is a most irritating sentence to hear. If you have or have ever had this problem, you know the number of hours spent imaging and trying to visualize what will happen each time you go outside or on any type of outing. You go to bed in the evening and stress in advance.

You spend hours analyzing things in your mind, going over different scenarios. You visualize the image you present to others, how they will perceive you, and the questions they might ask. It’s a very daunting prospect that keeps most people with social anxiety at home.

How will I talk to people? I can’t do that. What they will think of me? I have a pimple on my forehead and everybody will be staring at it. I am fat. Everybody will look at me. I am not good enough and smart enough to talk in front
