Get Rid of Shyness - Rita G. Henderson
Chapter 1: Introduction
There is a lot of pain associated with shyness which none but those who have suffered painfully at the hand of shyness know.
Shyness has close associates like embarrassment, shame, self-hatred and inferiority complex to name a few.
The aim of shyness is to cause you real pain. Pain that makes you want to crawl into a hole and die, like you are some kind of snake.
It is either you are overcoming shyness in which case you know you are bold, beautiful, strong, attractive, gracious, disciplined, self controlled, or you are overcome by shyness in which case you are weak, perplexed, friendless, awkward in despair and fearful.
You have chosen to overcome shyness; proof of your choice is that you have bought this book about getting rid of shyness.
You have chosen well. You have exactly what it takes to overcome shyness. You are determined and willing; you have the ingredients for overcoming shyness.
You will overcome shyness. If one person can beat shyness all people can. If it happens for one person it can happen for all people. I do not want to waste your time; I will tell it like it is.
Do the simple tasks in this book, commit to doing them often and daily, without a doubt, you will no longer have to wait be validated by people to be your real self.
You will overcome shyness.
You will know that you are a beautiful and strong person; you will not need to announce to people that you are strong, bold and beautiful. It will be obvious to all that you are.
People who have called you as shy, weak and perplexed would be amazed at what has happened to you.
They will tell you that you are like a new person and you will smile within yourself, because you have learned to whip shyness not once or twice but always.
You will know that you are not shy.
Look in a mirror, and look at your reflection. Study your face, look closely at your eyes, the mirror for the soul; and see the face of some one ready to punish and push shyness out for ever.
See the face of a bold, beautiful strong, successful person; it all starts from inside out. It starts now!
Every time you look in the mirror, every single time, hear this words, I am strong! I am bold! I am beautiful from inside out!
Chapter 2: The Value Of Keeping A Diary Or Journals
In keeping a diary, you will record your findings on this journey. You are the object of study and the scientist.
You will record the most amazing adventures. You will record major changes in your thinking.
Writing will help you to clarify your thoughts. Writing is your therapeutic tool. You always feel better when you write down powerful truths that you believe. You will reinforce what you all ready know and discard from your thinking what is untrue.
Please note that shyness is not an ally, but an enemy who punishes you with embarrassment, awkwardness and shame, you do not need it.
If you think shyness is a friend you are badly mistaken.
Shyness said to you, I am shy!
You responded I am shy
because you believed that was who you are. And because you heard it so often you believed a lie.
You are beautiful, bold, fearless and strong. Listen closely, write down these words boldly. Say to yourself, I am bold, beautiful powerful fearless and strong.
Who are you? Tell yourself who you are from now onwards. You are beautiful, powerful, bold, wonderful, kind, and honest. This is what you say to yourself about who you are. Drown out the voice of shyness for ever by saying these words to yourself secretly and always. Refuse to accept any other thing about yourself but the truth.
Note that in the past, without thinking about it, you said about yourself, If only I was not shy, I would walk up to Jane and say hello.
You did not walk up to Jane to say hello because you believed you were shy. Who are you?
You are not shy, your name is not shy, it is not who you are, remember who you are. Will you commit to telling yourself daily who you are?
Tell yourself who you are in the bathroom. Tell yourself who you are, as you sit down, as you stand, as you walk. Be strongly persuaded about yourself. Now say it like you mean it, tell me who you are.
If any one walked up to you and said to you, You are shy I can tell!
Don’t you dare tell them, How do you know?
Never again.
Calmly be reminded about who you are from within. Stand tall, knowing that you are beautiful, powerful, bold and strong and then introduce yourself.
You are ready to punish shyness, expose and disgrace her by eliminating her from your friendship group. You no longer want to give shyness your time.
You are ready to murder your enemy shyness.
Remember shyness is your enemy. Don’t be fooled by lies. Shyness is not a friend.
Write truthfully and clearly.
Write down why you hate shyness so much.
Write down what shyness has done to you?
Write down how shyness made you feel?
Do not hold back, recall major instances of pure humiliation.
I implore you to make up your mind never ever to forgive or get back to being friends with shyness.
Shyness made you think that you needed to crawl and hide. Shyness made you feel ashamed.
Shyness caused you to believe you were inferior to the whole world.
Shyness made you want to die. Common there is a whole list of things shyness did to you.
Do remember when you wanted to say yes please
to something nice and ended up saying no thank you
because you thought you were shy and you missed out? Never again!
Now is the time to draw a line over feelings of shyness. It stops right here.
After you have written all the things that shyness has done in your past, draw a line over it, make the writing indelible by printing.
The END
You are not accepting the second hand, ugly clothes of shyness.
No you are not confused, you are not destroyed or in despair, you are a strong, right thinking person.
Who am I? "I am a strong, bold, beautiful right thinking person, truth for your journal to remind you always about who you are.
Chapter 3: You Shall Murder Shyness
Shyness does not like you, she wants you to look bad, and you have to be aggressive and combatant and ready to annihilate shyness. Replace every thought of shyness with strong, bold beautiful and powerful thoughts.
In your mind, night and day, you have to be prepared to declare to yourself, who you are. When you do so, those thoughts about shyness would have no room in your heart. Once you start, you cannot change your mind, it is a lifestyle change. It is your strong decision.
Shyness does not have anything good to offer you. You are going to overcome shyness and that is all that counts. Shyness deserves to be dead to you, annihilated from your life.
When I was a child, my mother would turn out the light in my bedroom at night. I hated having my lights turned off but I was too shy to say so. I would imagine there were scary things in my room because the room was dark, but once the light came on, I breathed a sigh of relief because there was nothing there.
Shyness is like the things I imagined are in a dark room. They were nothing when the light is turned on
I could not touch fear, but I knew I was afraid. It preyed on my young mind. It preyed on my imagination. I believed I was shy. Shyness kept me awake. Some nights I peed myself rather than go to the toilet, Oh the shame and humiliation of believing I was shy.
Muster all the hatred you can, hate shyness and fear with venom, think of shyness like a dark room which will be licked once the light is turned on.
Shyness can only have access to you when you are ignorant. You are not shy.
You must at once know that you are beautiful and strong and powerful.
Know now that shyness is the dark bedroom and you have the power to turn on the light and dispel darkness.
Shyness is darkness and you are light and when light comes darkness is consumed. You win! Isn't that just great!
It is over now; your journal should be a journal of truth, power and love. You owe yourself the gift of truth, power and love. When you are confronted by what is true, you know it.
You used to believe you were shy, when asked questions in class you would mumble and quiver someone else would repeat your answer and the teacher would ask the whole class to clap for the other person.
You’d mutter, That was what I said
, well no one heard, because you thought were shy.
Well, no more of that nonsense. You are strong on the inside you hate shyness, shyness is not you and you are not shyness. You are a bold beautiful, confident and wonderful person.
Now you are clear about what you want to say, and you say it confidently and clearly so that every one in the class hears you. If you get an answer wrong, so you get it wrong. You will never get that question wrong again.
Yet again, the bold, beautiful, powerful, strong person will speak clearly and confidently every time she needs to speak.
Chapter 4: Love Is On Your Side
The words of a true friend are to be treasured; Love will speak the truth and will not lie to you. Love aims to inspire you to be the best you can be. Love cares about the real you and wants you to be the best you.
Love is a true friend who will stick with you when others will desert you. Love will not speak empty words but will speak from the heart.
Love knows you are special and wants you to feel rightly good about yourself. Love is not mean or envious, or jealous of you. Love cares about your private tears and wants to help you get rid of the loneliness and frustration that shyness brings.
Love is clear about what he is saying, not sneaking about to flatter you, no a true friend will not do that. Love wants you to strengthen and he wants to take away the things that stop you. Your happiness is his happiness;
