Conclusion
Introduction
To start off, ask yourself the following questions:
Do you often find your mind wandering? Do you ever find it hard to pay attention to something for a long stretch of time? Do you jump from one task to another? Do you find it hard to accomplish tasks, even simple ones, in one sitting?
Perhaps you have not yet discovered your mind’s power or ability to ignore distractions and focus on important tasks. Everything around us may have their ways of getting on our nerves and into our minds. These distractions keep our brains from working to their full potential. But our brain can still fend for itself by knowing how to concentrate. This mind power can dust off distractions that keep us from being productive and this mind power can be practiced, developed, and mastered.
Mind power of concentration is having the ability to focus on a task with full on attention. The more we can concentrate, the more we can finish tasks with good quality and efficiency. Concentration is an important source of human productivity. Without it, we would end up switching from one task to another without really getting anything done.
This minimalist guide is a down and dirty process you can use to make thoughtful decisions about how to prioritize and how you live your life. This book, will help you declutter your mind, focus on what is essential for you, avoid distractions from information overload and start living a better life with less. If you are ready to learn how you can live more with less and have a more significant impact on your life and the world around you, then this book is the ideal read for you. Minimalist living is really just a starting point for authentic living. We need open spaces – blank canvases – upon which we can occupy ourselves more deeply with the art of living. Minimalism is an intentional life design. By removing distractions, obstacles, and buildup, we live life as we truly desire, with the values that we select, not those selected for us by convention, copywriters or trendsetters. Today my hope is that this book will help and inspire you to create more open space to play in – space that invigorates your health, sets you on a path of purpose and sparks inner healing and joy for you.
Your minimalist lifestyle begins here – declutter and organize, live simply and achieve your minimalist dreams.
Chapter 1: Starting Your Minimalist Journey
What is Minimalist Living?
In this world of unavoidable technology, advertising and capitalism, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the fast-paced and ever-changing complexities of modern-day life. Although there is nothing wrong with taking part in obtaining physical possessions, many people are beginning to move away from materialism and adjusting their lifestyle to a more minimalist state. A minimalist lifestyle can be difficult to define in words, but generally a minimalist person might have one or more of the following qualities:
You are a focused individual who prefers order over clutter.
You prefer emotional, mental, and/or spiritual gratification rather than relying on physical belongings to make you happy.
You prefer to share, recycle, and donate your possessions rather than keep them in your house or in storage.
You wish to live a simpler, more sustainable and frugal life, so that you can better enjoy life’s non-tangible pleasures and experiences.
Living a minimalist lifestyle doesn’t necessarily mean you are willing to give up everything you own and live off the land. In this age of populated urban areas and easily accessible shopping centers and markets, it’s natural to indulge in some of these services since they can make our busy lives a lot more convenient. Being a minimalist means finding a balance between reducing material goods and living a comfortable yet functional life. It’s about being able to look inside yourself, your loved ones and the natural world for your primary source of happiness. Rather than focusing on what you lack, your consciousness begins to shift towards a desire to live with less while appreciating what you already possess.
Minimalism can mean different things to different people, but it’s important to remember that part of beginning a minimalist lifestyle starts with asking questions.
Do I really need this much space?
Is there a way I can save more and waste less?
What are the things that make me truly happy?
What do I rely on when I
