    We live in an age where people are on the run and hardly give enough attention to the basic needs of body, like adequate sleep, balanced diet, and enough physical exercise. Our lives are full of distractions and rush to reach and complete just plain mundane tasks. Surprisingly, many of us find ourselves tired and exhausted all the time, even when we live comfortable lives.

    Primarily we are associated with a lifestyle, which in turn is decided by the occupation we are in. Most of us find ourselves helpless and blame our jobs, circumstances, or failures for not being able to live a rewarding and fulfilling life. However, the truth is that our lives are very much in our own control, and it just requires some initiative and self-discipline to change our mindset and gain control of our habits and routine.

    Human body is a marvelous machine and has immense capability to adapt and stay fit, most of the times its only when we push the limits, our body responds in a manner we characterize with ailments and lack of fitness.

    We will first briefly introduce our Experience the richness life holds section meant to bring in to our beautiful minds Stephen Richards’ quote When you connect to the silence within you; that is when you can make sense of the disturbance going on around you. We will then cover some simple changes that we may bring in to gain a better control and live a life we always wanted;

    Stick to the routine: Follow certain discipline on time to go to bed, get up and have your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Avoid being hungry and being awake past your sleep time. Try to eat smaller portions at different times a day; have your breakfast, lunch; and dinner at stipulated time, don’t wait to be hungry. Similarly, don’t stay awake past your sleeping time.

    Diet and Nutrition: Keep a check on what you eat, try having balanced nutrition, try including nutritionally enriched food items in your diet. Eat as per your needs and lifestyle,(avoid indulgence and overeating).

    Stay fit and Exercise: Exercise regularly- If you don’t like exercising try Gardening, Walking, Swimming, or some other sport. Avoid distractions: Avoid talking on phone and checking emails or surfing internet all the time, try taking bus instead of driving sometimes.

    Relax and enrich your mind: Find enough time to relax, do take occasional leaves and vacation if you keep very busy. Try picking up new hobbies or interests. Take interest in world and people around you. Love yourself: How frequently do you give time to yourself (Talk of Meditation, Aromatic baths, and time for contemplation and relaxation). Meditate: Try Yoga or Prayers as you like, heal yourself internally.

    Connect socially meaningfully – Find happiness, Visit relatives or friends instead of going to parties, try helping your neighbor, or contribute to community when you have time.
