About this ebook

Revelation is an absolute must, for head knowledge is different from heart knowledge.

In this book, Z.T.  Fomum shows us how to cooperate with God and his Holy Spirit to have a revelation of the aspects of his Word that we have understood intellectually.

It is through revelation that we can experience the truths of God's Word in our lives.

The author expressly states that this book was written to convert Bible truth into effective spiritual experience. If revelation is given by grace, however, it requires that man should cooperate with God by obeying the heavenly vision.

Man also cooperates with God by an active spiritual life and edifying teachings.

This book is an indispensable read. The author has expressed it in the title: Revelation - A Must!

The Overcomer As A Servant Of Man

There are many aspects of Biblical truth that you know in your head, but you do not live them out in your daily life. Those aspects of the truth are in your head but not in your heart; those facts are reasonable and you acknowledge them as being true and for you, but you are somehow cold and indifferent to them. What do you need for such aspects of the truth to become experience in you? The answer is that you need a personal revelation of those aspects of the truth. A personal revelation will set those aspects of the truth aflame and set you aflame to obey them. That is what this book is about. Yes, you can have a personal revelation of the truth! Yes, you need a personal revelation of the truth. Indeed, you must have a personal revelation of the truth!

As we move increasingly towards the close of the age, and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ being nearer than at any other time in the past, it is important that you who are a part of His Bride should enter into the experience of all the truths in His Word. You need a revelation of those aspects of the Word that you have understood with your mind but have not yet experienced. You also need a revelation of other aspects of the truth that you have not even yet grasped with your mind. This book is written to help you convert Bible truth into actual spiritual experience. May you be abundantly blessed as you read it!

If the Lord blesses you in a special way as you read this book and you would like to share your testimony with me, I shall be very glad to hear from you.

    God bless you exceedingly!

    INTRODUCTION

Facts are easy to acquire. It is not difficult to know that a Man called Jesus lived in Israel in the first century. It should not be difficult to establish that He drew a crowd and that He caused a lot of controversy. It should also be easy to establish who His parents were and what He did with His life. These are the facts about the Lord Jesus.

When facts are put together coherently and purposefully, we have knowledge. For example, that men are sinners is a fact. That Jesus died on the cross is a fact. That He died on the cross for all men is a fact. That Jesus bore the sins of all men on the cross is a fact. That Jesus can forgive sinners is a fact. That the sinner can be forgiven by Jesus Christ because Jesus died on the cross for him is knowledge. Knowledge is facts that can be acted upon. Knowledge is a coherent body of facts.

Knowledge can be cold. It can be in the head and not affect the way a person acts. A person may know that Jesus came to die for sinners and yet not be saved. He may know that if he prays, God will answer him, and yet not pray. He may know that the wages of sin is death, and yet live habitually in sin. He thus has knowledge, but the knowledge is not useful to him. The knowledge does not compel him to act.

Knowledge can be ignited. It can be set aflame in such a way that it compels the person who has it to act upon it. Knowledge that does this is called revelation. Revelation is heart knowledge. It is knowledge aflame. Revelation is knowledge that drives a man into restlessness with a desire that something be done about the knowledge acquired.

Experience is revelation acted upon. When the Lord Jesus is revealed as the sin-bearer to someone, that person will turn from the sin in which he has lived to Jesus the sin-bearer. He thus has the experience of salvation. When a person has a revelation of the fact that Jesus died on the cross and included him in His death so that he and the Lord died together, he will act on this and be delivered from sin for having died with Christ. He will be free from sin. He will now know freedom from the power of sin in experience.

Life is sustained experience. It is possible for someone to have an experience that lasts for a short period of time and then that is the end of it. It is also possible for a person to have a sustained experience. The experience has become his way of life. Take, for example, that someone gives a certain portion of his income to the Lord once. That is an experience. If that person gives the same sum every month to the Lord in a sustained way, then the person is giving that portion of his income to the Lord as a way of life. Take another example. If a person goes out one evening and
