    The very introduction to the topic of Slacklining summons the topic of balance. The concept and the skill of balancing, both are of utter importance in human life in almost all aspects. Mother Nature herself has taken up the task of teaching the art of balancing to the human lot, since the beginning of time. As a matter of fact, the idea of balancing was widely practiced in many ancient societies, including that of Greece and Rome. In the oriental world, Korea in particular, a tightrope gymnastic called Jultagi, is an integral part of their rich and ancient cultural legacy.

    Slackline – streamlined into its modern form – few decades back, in the early 1980s. A group of enthusiastic rock climbers in the Yosemite Valley, California invented this improvised technique of acrobatic as an alternate to rock climbing. In the monsoon season, as it is obvious, the sport of rock climbing remains dormant because of its proneness to fatalities. It was during one such slack season, the concept of modern Slacklining took a concrete shape.

    Gradually, the activity was picked up in Europe. Slacklining has completed its circle, travelling around the earth. It has turned into a prominent sport in Asia and Australia as well.

    What is Slacklining?
