In the future, Earth was being attacked by a race of alien’s called Hentars. They had almost succeeded in taking over, until a group of people fought back. The humans came up with a weapon that killed the three aliens that were on the planet.
When the leader of the Hentar race got word on what had happened, he decided the best way to win this war is in the past. They went back to wipe out everyone that had anything to do with the deaths of the three Hentars. Once this was done, he would then go back to the future and take over the planet. He knew once this was done, everything would change and there would be no one to stand then their way.
Chapter I
The sun was shining on a small town just outside of New York City. Everyone was busy is the streets shopping for the holidays. It’s December nineteenth, and stores where filled with people shopping.
Joan Willis was walking to her car with boxes in her arms. Joan was a twenty-seven year old woman. She has brown hair that is always nicely combed, and shoulder length. She put the boxes into her car and walked around to the driver side. Starting it, she drove off, heading for home. Joan had only four hours to get home and change clothes before she had to be at work. Joan works for the local news station: NYE. While she was in the bathroom getting ready, her cell phone rang. Picking it up, she started talking to her cameraman, John. John White, thirty, short black hair, and was really good with any camera he could get his hands on.
Are you sure that’s where they want us to go?
she asked.
Yes, I am on my way to your house,
he said back, turning down the next street.
I’m almost ready, I’ll be outside,
she told him, and then hanging up the phone, she went back to getting ready.
Joan wanted a good story to get her up with the rest of the reporters. She’s a good reporter, but she always gets the non-newsworthy jobs. Walking out of the bathroom, she grabbed her keys and then headed out the door. While she was waiting for John to get there, she starts to look at the lawn and saw that she needed to water it.
Pulling around the corner was the news van. John pulled up and she got in and they headed to their story.
Why can’t we get something that it worth our time?
she asked.
Hey, I’m just glad to have a job,
he answered back, looking over at her.
So, how are Cathy and the kids?
They’re fine; my oldest one wants a bike for Christmas this year,
Joan smiled and started to remember back to when her kids wanted bikes.
Well, I know you will get the best bike for him,
she told him.
The story they were sent to cover was a winner of a local lottery. Joan and John got set up and stood waiting.
Oh, this is just crap, you know that,
she said.
Well I wish it was me that won,
he said back with a smile on his face.
Once they were done with the filming, they headed back to the van. Joan picked up cell phone and called home to see if her husband was home yet. When he didn’t pick up, she turned back to John and asked if he could take her home. She opened her door and walked in, looking around she saw that her husband wasn’t home yet and neither were the kids. She thought this would be the perfect time to wrap the gifts. Sitting down in her room, she reached over and pulled out wrapping paper and got started.
John arrived at the station and got out of the van. So how did the interview go?
a voice called out.
What? Oh, it went fine,
John, answered back, once he saw how it was.
Neil Jones walked up to John and asked for the tape of the interview. John handed it over and then asked if he could take the rest of the day off. Neil was in charge of everything that goes on the air. Neil got his job and his rank because his brother owned the building and station. Neil walked into his office to watch the tape that they had shot and started to do some editing.
Outside of an apartment complex a man was sitting on his steps smoking. He looked up at a cop car that was slowing down as it passes. Once the car had past, he stuck up his hand and flicks the cop off.
The man was in his mid-twenties and short brown hair that covered his head. Taking another drag off the bud, he heard someone calling his name.
Carlos? Are you out here?
a woman was calling as she walked up.
What? I’m out here not bothering anyone,
he said back.
Dinner is on the table,
Carlos told her that he would be in and then she left. Carlos got up and walked back inside the house.
Carlos lived with his mom and step dad. He worked for a local music store that was now going out of business. Carlos had worked for two stores from the same company, now going out. He was getting tired of this and decided that he was going to join the army. He knew that he would have to be clean, and he was working on it.
December twenty-first, the day started out the same, everyone out trying to get the best deals on everything they could.
Joan was sitting at a local coffee shop waiting on her friend to meet her for breakfast.
Joan, hey how are you,
a voice called out.
Wow, you’re really wound up this morning,
she said back, as she watched her friend sit down.
A woman walked over and asked him what he would be having. He told her what he would like and she headed off to get it.
So, how’s the shopping going?
he asked.
Well, I have one more thing to get but everywhere I have been this morning have been sold out,
What is it that you’re looking for?
he asked, and then thanked the lady that just sat down his coffee.
Oh it’s nothing big, I’m sure I will find something to get,
she told him.
Lorie Conroe was watching TV, when she started to get this really bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. The twenty-one year old got up and headed to the bathroom quickly. As she past the kitchen, her boyfriend was sitting at the table. He turned around to see what was the commotion was. As he saw that it was Lorie, he got up and headed down the hall.
Hey, what’s going on?
he said from the other side of the door.
I’ll be out in a minute,
she said back, and then he heard her upchucking.
He stood next to the door and knew exactly what was going on.
You know, this will pass,
he let her know.
She stood up and walked over to the sink to brush her teeth. Opening the door, she saw that he was still standing there.
What do you know about it?
she asked.
Look, when my sister was pregnant, she had the same symptoms and they will pass,
Pushing out of the way, she headed to the kitchen to get some water to drink.
Chad Dillon was a good guy and would do anything for his girlfriend. He had just turned twenty-one and was still thinking about asking her to marry him.
It was now Christmas day; all was quiet in the little town of Lockwood. Everyone that had the day off was with family and friends. For others that had to work, they of course were at work.
A car pulled up to a small store and a man in a dark suit got out. He headed towards the door and reached out to open it. As he entered the store, he stopped just inside and reached up to pull off the sunglasses he had on.
Good morning,
the clerk said with a smile.
The man in the dark suit didn’t even look at him; he just started walking to the back part of the store. Opening the cooler, he pulled out a soda and then turned. Walking up to the counter he sat the soda down.
Will this be all?
the clerk asked, still smiling.
What’s so funny?
the man asked.
The clerk didn’t know what he was talking about and just told him that he was trying to be polite. As the guy was getting into his car, the store clerk walked over to the window and looked out.
Joan watched as her two boys opened their gifts. She smiled when she saw the look on their faces.
"Thanks mom, I have been wanting
