Amy sits in the detective’s office waiting for him to come in and talk to her. Amy knew why she was there, she needed help. She turns to look out of the office to see where the detective was, not seeing him she started to get really nervous. Reaching into her purse she pulled out her pack of cigarettes.
The door opened and a man walked in and sat down behind the desk. There’s no smoking in here.
he told her.
Sorry
she said back and looked for a place to put it out.
The detective pulled out his note pad and reached for a pen. Now tell me again what happened.
Amy hands started sweeting and she wiped them on her pants. I was at a party with some of my friends. It was a graduation party. Everyone was having so much fun until.
The detective lean closer and then asked her what happened next. Amy told him that around midnight the lights in the house started to flicker and then they all went out. When they came on again, a lot of the people at the party were dead.
Did you hear anything while the lights were out?
he asked.
It sounded horrible, the sound that I heard was as if someone was taking a knife and cutting sheets of paper with it. I couldn’t see what was happening but I could hear people all around me screaming out in pain.
The detective was writing everything down and then he asked her how she was the only one to survive the attack.
When I heard the screams I ran towards the door and ran outside into the yard. That’s when I saw the lights come back on and when I walked up to the door I saw all my friends’ dead.
He could see how shaking up she was and told her that she could go home and that he would call her if there was anything else he needed. Amy got up from the chair and wiped the tears from her eyes. Once she had left his office he reached over and picked up his phone to make a call.
Pulling into the driveway he got out of his car and then headed for the front door. He reached out and lifted the police tape and opened the door. He started going over the house once more to see if there was anything that was missed. The house was a mess, there is blood everywhere and it was hard to not step in it. Making his way from the down stairs rooms up to the second floor he stopped and listened. Pulling out his gun he moved along the wall towards the room he could hear the noise coming from. Standing in front of the door he kicked it in and there was nothing in the room but a mirror. He put his gun away and then he walked around the room looking for a clue. Not finding anything he then turned his attention towards the mirror that was sitting in the middle of the room. The mirror was nothing like he had ever seen before. Its frame was made out of bone.
He stood there in front of the mirror, looking at himself. Then as the lights in the room started to flicker he saw something move behind him. Spinning around with his gun in his hand he headed out of the room to look for whoever it was in the house. He checked every room and found that he was by himself.
The detective headed back to the station and then he headed for the morgue.
Walking into the room he could see that there were a lot of people working on the case. He walked up to the one that was in charge and asked if they had found out anything.
Detective Knight what a surprise to see you here.
the man said.
What can you tell me about the victims?
Well, from what we have found so far is that all of the victims were killed using the same weapon. Something very sharp and then there is this that I found hanging from the skin of one of the bodies.
He told him as he showed him a hook.
Is that a fishing hook?
To the normal eye, yes, but if you look close enough you’ll see that the hook has a razor edge on it.
As they walked over to the table he pulled back the sheet that was over the body and showed him were the hook was removed. The detective remembered what Amy had told him that she heard.
As far as we know, this kind of hook was used to kill all of them.
The detective thanked him for his information and then told him if he finds anything new to let him know.
Walking out to his car he stopped and looked around. He had a feeling that he was being watched. He stood there for a moment and then got into his car and since it was late he headed home. Once he had got home he headed to his bedroom to change his clothes. Sitting his gun down and his badge, he headed off to take a shower.
Fixing himself something to eat he sat down on the couch and reached over to get the remote. Turning on the TV he flipped through channels until he found a news station that was reporting the murder.
The small town of La Belle was the site of a horrible murder. Twenty-five high school seniors lost their lives. There has never been anything like this in the history of this town. There was only one survivor Amy Crane.
Liam watched the report and then he headed off to bed. Liam found himself standing in the room with the mirror. He looked around the room and wondered how he got there. He turned to head out of the room only to find himself back in the same room again. He looked back through the open door and saw that the room he just came from was the same one he is in now. He walked up to the mirror and as he was reaching out to touch it something came out of the mirror and grabbed his hand. It started to pull him into the mirror. With all of his strength he finally pulled free and back away from the mirror. Once he had got up enough courage he walked up to the mirror and reached out to touch it once more.
Liam back away from the mirror and stood next to the wall. The whole time, he wondered why the mirror was place in an empty room and way was it placed in the middle? He then decided to check out the backside of the mirror to see if there was any kind of writing on it that would help him. Just then he heard an alarm going off and then he opened his eyes. Liam looked around and saw that it was all a dream that he was still in his bedroom.
Reaching over he turned off his alarm clock and got ready for work. He headed down stairs to grab some coffee and then once he had made sure that he had everything, he headed out the door.
Sitting at his desk he started looking over the files on Amy Crane. Flipping through the pages he stops on one page and started reading it again. He decided that he needed to talk to her once more and picked up his phone.
Liam pulled into Amy’s driveway and walked up to the door. He knocked and Amy opened the door and asked him to come inside. They sat down on the couch and started talking. Amy told him that she got rid of all the mirrors in
