Liam and Amanda got back from their honeymoon and just as they were heading into the house the phone started ringing. Liam walked over and answered it. Amanda headed into the bedroom to put down the luggage and then she walked back into the living room. She saw that he was still on the phone and asked him who it was. Liam moved the phone and told her that it was the new sheriff. Liam finished with the phone call and hung up the phone.

Please tell me that you don’t have to go in today!

I’m just going in to see what’s going on and then I will be back. he told her.

Amanda knew that it was his job and she did understand why he had to go but they were still on their honeymoon for one more day.

Liam walked into the police station and looked for the sheriff. He walked up to the office door and knocked. The sheriff told him to come in and once he was inside the office the sheriff told him to have a seat.

First off, how was the honeymoon? he asked.

Going well, until I had to come into the office.

Well I hope that she understands why I called you.

Liam told him that she did and that he was wondering why he was called into the station. The sheriff reached over and handed him a folder. Liam opened it and started looking over what was inside. Then he looked up at the sheriff, This can’t be happening again. He said.

I’m afraid so, but there is something different about this one. As you can see from the report this person wasn’t around any mirrors. He was found in a tent out at his campsite.

    Where’s the body now?

Liam drove to the morgue building and headed inside. Walking up to the front desk he asked for the person in charge. The man told him to follow him towards the back. As they walked into the back room where the bodies were at, Liam looked around and noticed that they had changed the way the room looked since the last time he was there.

Ah, Detective Knight, it’s nice to see you again.

I’m sorry, but do I know you? Liam asked.

We’ve met once a long time ago. I helped with one of the cases. I’m Larry Woodard I took over the morgue a few months ago.

They shook hands and then Liam wanted to see the body of the man that was found. Larry walked him back to the case and he opened the door and pulled the body out. Unzipping the body bag he stepped back so that Liam could have a look. Liam leaned over and started looking at the body.

Were there any hooks found in the skin? Liam asked.

No, that was the first thing I looked for but there was something that I did find on the body that I have never seen before. It’s some kind of marking.

Larry opened the man’s shirt and showed him the mark that was on his chest. Liam leaned over to have a closer look and then he told Larry that he too had never seen anything like that before. Liam started to wonder what happened to this man and what killed him. He knew that there were no marks from hooks or the fact that the body wasn’t torn apart like the bodies a few years ago. All he had to go on was the strange upside down triangle with a circle in the middle. Liam thanked Larry and then headed out of the building. He headed back to his car and sat down. He couldn’t believe after all he had gone through this was starting up once again.

    Chapter One

Patrick sat in his dorm room chatting with his friends online. He wanted to do something different for this Halloween. He talked to them about going down to La Belle and stay overnight in a haunted house. His friends were all up for it and asked him when they would be leaving. Patrick looked over at the calendar and then told them that they would be leaving Friday morning. After that was set up he logged off and got ready for class.

Patrick and his friends were in college in Orlando, Florida. It was their last year and it was time for them to do something that they would never forget.

Patrick sat in his English class waiting for the class to be over. All he kept thinking about was the haunted house down in La Belle. Once the class was over he headed out the door and headed for the front doors of the building. When he walked out he saw his girlfriend waiting for him on the steps. He walked up to her and gave her a kiss and then he asked if she was ready to go. Sylvia smiled and told him that she couldn’t wait to go and that she was already packed. Patrick took her hand and they headed for his car. They talked alone the way about the house and Sylvia wanted to know how he knew it was haunted. Patrick told her about an article that he found online. Then she stopped and they both stood next to his car.

What made you look for a haunted house? she asked.

I wasn’t looking for it, I was doing some research for a paper when I came across it and I started reading.

He reached over and opened the door and Sylvia got in and then he headed around to the driver side. Starting the car he backed out of the parking spot and then he headed towards Sylvia’s house. As they drove, Sylvia started asking questions about the house. Patrick told her everything that he knew and that he thought it would be fun. Sylvia has always wanted to visit a haunted house and now she’s getting her chance.

Pulling into her driveway she leaned over and kissed him and then told him that she would be ready by the time he comes to get her in the morning. Once she was out of the car she headed up to her front door. Patrick waved and then backed out of the driveway and headed towards the college. On his way his cell phone started ringing and he reached over and answered it. On the other end of the line was his good friend Frank Hayes. He and Frank go way back and they have always been there for each other. They talked for a while
