About this ebook
“All But My Life” by Gerda Weissmann Kllein was first published in 1957. It happens to be the memoir of her experiences during the Second World War.
The time period described in the memoir is from September 3 1939 to September 1945.
In the year 1946, she moved to Buffalo, New York, with her husband, Kurt Klein. She got involved in the work of raising awareness about the Holocaust, prevention of hunger, and promotion of tolerance in New York.
In New York, she met many other Jews and she developed ties with several Jewish groups. She began lecturing about her experiences as a young woman who had witnessed the Holocaust.
