About this ebook
The story of the novel focuses on a small fraction of humanity that has got immense psychic powers. The people of that fraction call those powers “The Ability.”
It transpires that those powers can be used to fully control people from a distance to make them do any physical action, even murders.
The novel explores and explains this ability of that tiny fraction of humanity. It is said that this Ability has been often used in the history of mankind to create direct or indirect influence. The world leaders or more covert individuals in the world have successfully used this Ability on almost everything from individual senseless murders to the Holocaust.

Chapter One: Introduction
Carrion Comfort
by American writer Dan Simmons was first published in 1989. It is a science fiction/horror novel.
The book was first printed in hard cover by Dark Harvest. Its paperback edition was printed in 1990 by Warner Books.
Carrion Comfort
was the winner of the Bram Stoker Award, The Locus Poll Award for Best Horror Novel, The World Fantasy Award for Best Novel and The August Derleth Award for Best Novel.
It is a thick book with a long story. Some of the printed editions are over eight hundred pages long. It is longer than many Dan Simmons has written.
