    Introduction

Lord of the Flies is considered one of the most popular books in schools and colleges. The book very intelligently deals with the concepts of democracy and tyranny. The book is taught in almost all schools and colleges in different grades. This novel by William Golding revolves around the theme of human nature: individual welfare versus the common good.
